Brad Stevens is probably an IU student who just happens to share a name with a really famous coach and this guy is being funny.

Best thing I can say to that is to just let things play out and see what happens. There is no card he is going to be able to play that will prove he has the goods on this. The proof will be in the pudding as they say.

I like to hear that. I was not on board with the Dolson hire at all...I have a crow waiting to he eaten. I will enjoy every bite.

I listened to the whole Titus podcast. I like the guy...he gets it.

What the queen wants, the queen should get.

A few things: 1. He has succeeded everywhere he has gone. Butler to back to back Championships is quite a feat. EC finals a few times with the Celtics. The guy just wins. 2. I think he does the "modern" game that Dolson mentioned with the analytics. 3. People like the guy. You may ask what this has to do with anything, but how much free recruiting has Kryzewski gotten over the years? Having him brought up on a regular basis as a great coach and a great guy on these games is free recruiting that we haven't truly had for years. Yeah...you get the talk during our games, but not so much others. Coach K will get randomly brought up in games that have nothing to do with him. 4. That Boston job is similar to the Indiana job in a bunch of ways. Crazy fans who have quite a bit of historical success and are pretty demanding. He has dealt with the fishbowl before. None of the other people on our list can say that. 5. Immediate gravitas in recruiting, particularly in this area. He has been gone for 8 years and he still gets pumped in this area. He has recruited our stomping grounds before but now he is a national name that would be recruiting at a national capable program like Indiana. When he walks in a parents room and say, "I know what your son needs to maximize his potential", that will hold weight. If someone asks how he knows, he has coached the best in the world and he has coached against the best in the world. Just a few of my reasons.

They both take certain positions and discuss why something will or won't happen I believe. So Rabjohns will take the "reasonable" position that Stevens is not coming, and this is why. Then the Hysterics will take the position that he is coming and this is why. Basically, all these guys do is have the same discussions we have on the boards on a daily basis. I subscribed to Peegs site for 1 year back in the early 2000's and the info you got from the "insiders" was no better then the free boards.

I will be surprised if we hear anything today.

Please let this be true for so many reasons. Winning will be fun for sure, but having our program giving the biggest middle finger to everyone talking about how Indiana is just not a desirable job anymore and we should settle for this and the fans are too that...this would be an F U of epic proportions. Let's get this announced and let's get started on kicking the BIG's collective @$$, starting with those chumps in West Lafayette.

Yeah I am just being silly. This is all in fun, we should be ok with whomever we end up with from the names that are being listed. And if Steven's said he couldn't commit today...then I ask him again tomorrow until I hear definitively, "I won't take the job next year under any circumstances."

The economy in Indiana is going to take a major hit if this drags out until the end of the NBA season. People on their phones all day checking to see if Stevens finally pulled the trigger.

If that is going on then (and not saying it is) this is basically a done deal. If your boss comes to a meeting with a potential suitor to help you get out the door, you would have to take that as a big hint that you need to get out that door. Edit: And confirmation Ainge is not it. Yeah, that just sounded too much like everyone would know this was over if he was involved.

So no Quinn, no IT, and no Bird...we'll just keep eliminating until we land on the pot of gold.

Those guys live on Twitter. If I was trying to keep things quiet, the players wouldn't know squat until the ink was dry on the contract. That's just me.
