The high majors still have advantages but they don't seem to be as great as they once were. Maybe revenue sharing will tip the scales again, maybe not.

You can't even get the fact right that it was his fiancée and not his wife calls into question all of your other "facts." He wasn't falsely accused and just because she might have anger and abuse issues doesn't mean he doesn't have those same issues.

Retaining current college players is a terrible reason to hire a coach (see: Mike Davis) but to possibly bring in 1 or 2 HS players is an even worse reason. Especially when that person has the coaching record that would otherwise make a puzzling hire at IU.

Clemson has 4 double digit scorers on their team. They're all seniors so unless some of them have eligibility for a medical redshirt (I haven't looked) he's not bringing any stars with him. I've also read that it takes time for players to learn his system.

I think people are overlooking that coaching at LaLu would have given him experience coaching high level talent as well as dealing with the people around that talent. He also had to recruit that talent.

It's funny how possibly hiring Brownell makes getting Collins seem like a good hire in comparison. Maybe that's why Brownell's name is being thrown around, it makes most other hires look good.

I'll give any coach a chance even if I'm not thrilled about the hire with one exception. If Facial Hair is hired I'll no longer be a fan. There are a few names that is think would make it clear that IU is fine with being mediocre, though.

He tried recruiting higher level talent. It didn't work out well for him because they didn't fit his system very well. So he started recruiting to his system and really started doing well.

I like most of the shot selection in the USI and Bradley games (in that order) with only a few shots that I'd consider bad. Not so much the Belmont game which had lots of long 2s. Unsurprisingly, it was also the worst shooting percentage of the 3.
