  1. My guess is that the assistant coaching search is taking longer than whomever decided they wanted to announce them all at once thought it would take. Maybe we're negotiating with the other 2. Maybe we're striking out. Whatever it is, it's taking a while and probably longer than it was thought it would take. Fans start to get antsy from lack of announcements so they make a change to how they're going to do it. That's my guess.
  2. The HR thing doesn't make any sense. It's been what? A week or so since he was hired? It doesn't take that long for HR to do their thing. Especially when it was like a day or two for the head coach from the time of agreement to announcement. Face it, the announce everyone at once idea was dumb to begin with. I think they finally realized that.
  3. Either that or they finally realized that waiting to announce all at the same time is kind of a dumb idea.
  4. IU wins 8 of 10 awards. Only ones they didn't win were the freshmen of the year. Men's and women's awards for the coaches. Before this year this would've been a sweep. https://iuhoosiers.com/news/2025/4/3/mens-swimming-and-diving-big-ten-postseason-awards-reflect-indianas-national-excellence
  5. Sean Bock, Iowa's 247 insider, said a little over an hour ago that he's been hearing a lot of Dix to IU talk but no one's been told anything final. Says Iowa is trying to keep him but he feels like Dix is gone. He also mentioned Rapp and thinks Oregon is the one to watch. Evan Flood, Wisconsin 247 insider, thinks Rapp is between UW and Oregon but says IU and Villanova are trying to get involved. Edit: And Rabby has now deleted his Rapp post. lol That guy.
  6. Austin Rapp, 6-10 PF from Portland. Freshman so 3 years of eligibility. From Australia. 35.2% 3-point shooter on 7.6 3PA. 81.5% FT shooter on 3.0 FTA, 13.8 PPG, 6.5 RPG, 2.5 APG, 1.5 BPG https://247sports.com/Player/Austin-Rapp-46157240/ https://www.sports-reference.com/cbb/players/austin-rapp-1.html Rabby says IU is looking at him.
  7. I pulled those guys from a tracking list on peegs.com. There is also the list on Tony Adragna's tracker, which mostly agrees but there are a few differences like Sebastian Mack from UCLA. https://iuoffseason.com/#portal-tracker/
  8. Reed Bialey from Davidson Flory Bidunga from Kansas Pharel Payne from Texas A&M (and formerly Minnesota) Rodney Rice from Maryland Tyrone Riley from San Fransisco
  9. I was joking but the guys do they have coming in can't be cheap. Coupled with the limited minutes, I have a hard time seeing everyone staying happy.
  10. There hasn't been an official announcement from the school yet but they were still known. Drew Adams, as well.
  11. It is. But that could also be due to mostly non-con before the injury versus conference after the injury. Maybe a combination of both. I hope both he and DeVries recover completely from their shoulder injuries and return to pre-injury form.
  12. TIC = tongue-in-cheek Since I didn't become a Purdue fan while going to school there, it's unlikely I'll start now.
  13. We are so doomed next year. 2 midmajor players and a freshman not in the top 50 are all we have so far TIC
  14. With all the money they'd still be getting through legitimate processes, it'd be practically impossible to look at someone and say they're getting paid under the table. Before you sometimes could but even then it was hard for the NCAA to prove it. Now? Impossible without court orders to access their personal bank accounts for forensic accounting. As for the fair market value, "Your Honor, that autograph is worth $1M to me. Are you going to try to control how I spend my money while also hurting this player's livelihood?" Or "This $1M sponsorship will look like a genius investment when he turns out to be the next LeBron James, Your Honor. The people at the Clearinghouse are shortsighted."
  15. It's still not #6 like he got in WV so he's underperforming with more resources. He hasn't landed anyone in at least an hour. No one wants to play at IU. Woe is me.
  16. Luckily, we have a realtor who can help.
  17. Hmm, odd. After I saw your response I tried clearing cookies and it still doesn't load in Chrome. I tried another browser and it does load in Edge. Cleared cookies in Chrome again and still doesn't load. I guess it's nothing, just my browser acting up.
  18. This may be a coincidence and may have nothing to do with IU but Preston Murphy's page on the Alabama site gets a 404 error. The pages for the other coaches load just fine. https://rolltide.com/sports/mens-basketball/coaches Edit: never mind, it was just my browser acting up.
  19. So much anxiety and arguing. None of that changes what will happen.
  20. The timing of the dead period doesn't make any sense. I thought the idea behind dead periods were to give coaches a break and a chance to spend time with family, unwind, vacation, whatever or to give the athletes a break from the recruiting. Are coaches really going to be taking a break in the middle of the dead period? Are athletes not going to be be getting tons of texts and calls? Nope to both. It actually makes the decision for portal players harder since they can't visit a school during that time.
  21. The math doesn't work since the revenue sharing cap is $20.5M.
  22. Man, people sure do overreact a lot. I wanted Conwell to come to IU but we missed on him. Bummer. There are other good players in the portal. The portal is also open for almost 3 more weeks and players are still entering. I really hope CDD finishes staff soon, since their previous connections with players could certainly help. I'm guessing at the end of the offseason we'll have 7 portal players and 4 freshmen. I think we'll go with 11 players on the roster next year.
  23. I wouldn't be happy if he landed the '92 Dream Team. None of those guys have eligibility left plus they're quite old.
