    IIRC, the school is required to enter a player's name in the transfer portal within a certain amount of time of that player requesting it. I think 48 hours. So I don't think that the school can really control when it happens other than delaying for the maximum amount of time allowed.

    He has a system, it's just an archaic one. He tries to force players into that system regardless of fit. That's the problem. You're right that he just wants the highest rated players and doesn't care about fit.

    I never saw Mike Woodson the player so I have only seen Mike Woodson the coach. I have to say, I don't like him at all. I don't care what he did as a player, the guy I see is selfish and arrogant. The longer he's here, the more I dislike him. Fire Mike Woodson.

    I'm not sure why you'd do it at that time. The incoming coach would be seriously handicapped and some coaches who might otherwise be interested might not want that first year. They pretty much need to decide soon or wait, imo.

    The difference is they use that to get good outside shots. IU throws the ball inside and it stays there. Auburn shoots 7.4 more 3-pointers per game than IU and hits them at a higher percentage. They also have 2.7 more assists per game.

    The players needed the rest. Losing 14 games by an average of almost 15 points is exhausting. They need to get ready to lose even more games by a larger margin next year.

    I've already gone over this so I will just say that the way to make the mistake of bringing back Woodson an even bigger mistake would be to not have some sort of official statement from the AD. There will be something official.
