For anyone who's wondering, Rabby still has no idea. Just says everyone is saying something different.
-
It's getting interesting.

Apparently, it drops to $10M at the end of the month. Still very high. I don't buy the whole possible loophole thing.
-
I personally think he'd fit in well on rivals.

Extinction Level Event? That seems a bit extreme. lol, what does ELE stand for?

Well, if yours are really saying that Facial Hair is being seriously considered, I don't believe yours. I just don't see IU going anywhere near him.
-
That's a smokescreen.
-
I heard he's big into worm farming these days.
-
The problem is that they were at the end of the season instead of the beginning. It's unlikely that he'll get another year. This is one thing the NCAA has actually been consistent on.

You know, they're probably right in that it would have turned out differently but probably not correct in the way they think. It probably would have turned out worse and IU would have no shot at the tournament at this point. That injury forced Woodson to go away from the 2 big lineup which he then continued when he saw it actually worked better.

He thinks he's going to find a sympathetic ear in the crowd of fans who wanted him fired? Funny. He probably has language in his "retirement" paperwork about what he can't say about IU. It would be hilarious if they let him talk himself out of the money he would get at senior day. I kind of hope they let him have his say and it is his side but he gets booed by the fans there and voids the money. That would be epic.

Mark Turgeon - A Coaching Candidate? Or Not
go iu bb replied to #1fanofafrin's topic in Indiana Men's Basketball
Mark Turgeon: "After looking around, having many conversations, and much deliberation based on your criteria, the only one I feel comfortable recommending is myself. You'll get my bill for the many hours spent on this soon." -
You snooze, you lose. To make sure you don't miss arguments discussions like that, you need to refresh this site regularly. Religiously, one might say.

I doubt Woodson even knows the names of any other coaches.

To verify this info, wear something that will stand out to the game so when they flash the bench we'll recognize you. Maybe an orange hunting hat. Edit: I should have just kept reading before posting this.

It was crazy for a while when the Scottsdale one opened. Long lines for like a month or more.

Steve Alford as Mr Unexpected? Tom Crean? Tom Izzo? Fran? Cal? Altman? Shrewsberry? So many possibilities and most of them not good.

Some apps, like paint.net, let you adjust the quality when you go to save, lowering quality means smaller file. In that app, it shows you what size the resulting file will be.

Fair enough. That I can agree with.

He should follow his dream and go back to Kentucky to be a preacher. That is the best for everyone. I want him replaced along with all the assistant coaches.

You can't hire them based only on coaching. They represent the university, whether for good or bad. Things other than coaching could also have an effect on their ability to do the job well. Millers lack of personality seriously hindered him at IU and should have been a huge red flag, for example.
-
From previous experience around the college CBB ranks, it's obvious Sam Cassell would be a a homerun for them and win a ton. Hiring ex-star players without college coaching experience is a sure fire way to win. That's who they should go with.

The football coaching search shows that you shouldn't put too much faith into Rabjohns' hot coaching board. Right before Cignetti was named as coach, Rabjohns and company moved him into the Other Names category. 11/28 - Moved to Other Names 11/29 - Moved to a primary target 11/30 - Named IU's coach This makes it pretty clear they weren't getting much info about the football coaching search. It seems likely that would be true about the basketball search as well.

The revenue sharing cap is the same, regardless of conference. The difference is that the B1G and SEC schools will likely go to the cap. The B12 and ACC schools may also, but it would be harder for them to do. Where IU gets the edge is that they've said they'd take the B1G average (or maybe it was the median?) going to basketball and double that. So they're willing to commit a larger percentage of the revenue share with basketball while many schools will be concentrating on football. IU has also shown that they have a large pool of NIL money for the basketball team. In addition, the large amount of money coming in to the athletic department means that they should be able to at very least keep up if not exceed other conferences in terms of facilities, pay, other staff positions such as GM to make coaching life a bit easier, etc.
