  1. Peegs posted an update on his recovery. It appears Tucker had surgery on both shoulders. He's just now to the point where he can do a little bit of shooting but not much yet. They're taking it slow since there is a lot of time before next season and they don't want him to reinjure himself by doing too much too soon. CDD says that he'll probably be full go in a few weeks, should be good before the summer.
  2. Scholarship and roster limit of 15. Rabjohns has said something about it decreasing the amount of rev share if over 13 but hasn't explained that and I haven't seen it anywhere else. Also, I don't think this is set in stone yet. It might be dependent on the House settlement being approved. The final day of the hearing is today. I don't think a judgement will be made on that today, though. Probably weeks or months before it becomes final. Edit: I think Rabjohns is confused. I looked more and still haven't seen anything like what he suggests. I think he might be confusing opting in or out of the House settlement. If a school opts in on the settlement (which IU will), the basketball scholarship and roster cap will be 15 and they can give revenue share to the athletes. If a school opts out, the scholarship cap remains 13 and I'm guessing the roster size remains the same too and, of course, they can't share revenue.
  3. Sounds like it's not a done deal with Moikobu from TT either, from what he said.
  4. Rabby says "not feeling it with Pack" while saying it looks good with Wilkerson. @AH1971 can breathe a sigh of relief.
  5. Anyone noticing the issue with the team so far? Only 1 big and he's not an inside only big at that. Plus, look at these 3 point shooting numbers: DeVries - 47% last season (37% career) Wilkerson - 45% (40%) Bailey - 42% (31%) Enright - 33% (37%) Also recruiting other players who are high percentage 3-point shooters. How are we going to get the defense to collapse into the paint to make it hard for bigs and driving guards to score with spacing a team like that would make? Multiple bigs without range surrounded by bad shooters is the way basketball is supposed to be played. Miller and Woodson taught us that.
  6. Let's land Rodney Rice to complete the Rice trade.
  7. Nice stats. I definitely want some portal players with multiple years of eligibility left and he looks like a good one.
  8. Not in the sense that it's trying to return a profit for its investors. The investors (boosters), not the athletic department, are the ones who would be paying the most for players. For them, the return is winning games.
  9. At the top of the Inside the Locker Room he posted today.
  10. Rabby mentioned Lamar Wilkerson from Sam Houston. 6'5" SG. 44.5% on 7.7 3PA. 47% FG, 82% FT, 4 RPG, 1.1 SPG, 20.5 PPG https://247sports.com/Player/lamar-wilkerson-46148106/ https://www.sports-reference.com/cbb/players/lamar-wilkerson-1.html Lots of competition for him. I'm not optimistic since he's from Arkansas and is being recruited by them. Kansas, Auburn, Ole Miss, and SMU are also involved.
  11. A pro of the portal is the players have college experience so you get a better idea of how their strengths translate at this level. A con of the portal is the players have college experience so you get a better idea of what their weaknesses are at this level.
  12. Yeah, there were a few guys on WVU that shot low percentages on a high volume. Harris with his 11%, as you mentioned, and Hansberry shot 29% on almost 4 attempts per game. I'm fine with neither of them following him to IU.
  13. I like what you're hearing/saying so you're the one I'm choosing to believe. :) I would definitely take Murphy over Clark.
  14. 247 gives him credit as the lead recruiter for 4* recruits Cameron Carr and J.P. Estrella. I know they don't make unilateral decision on who to recruit but do the lead recruiters often identify and recommend the players they recruit? I ask because neither of those players has played much. He doesn't seem like a high power recruiter like Murphy but coming from a winning program is nice. Not surprising you're hearing it since he's been on Adragna's list as a possibility.
  15. I just watched the latest CrimsonCast episode and in it Galen mentions a rumor he heard that blew my mind. He said he's heard that Xavier Booker is getting a couple of million from UCLA. That's crazy if it's true. Maybe IU dodged a bullet if Cronin thinks Booker is worth anywhere close to $2M.
  16. But why would either want to come to IU? Amirite, Scotty?
  17. He wasn't a Murphy recruit, Bryan Hodgson was the recruiter according to 247. IU should go after him whether or not Murphy is coming to IU if CDD wants him. Maybe Murphy could give him a nudge in IU's direction even if he stays at Alabama since he's supposedly close with CDD.
  18. Also, CDD wouldn't be a very good dad to teach his son he should undersell himself and not get paid what he's worth while also hurting his son's lifetime earnings in a huge way. That would be irresponsible of him in my eyes.
  19. Fine, get your hopes up even though there's no indication he has any interest in IU. Have fun with that. Make sure you come complain on the board when he ends up at somewhere not IU.
  20. Don't get your hopes up. Probably Auburn or he stays at Kansas.
  21. Always nice to remember UK losing. I had forgotten how ugly Wisconsin's uniforms were.
  22. Not a Preston Murphy recruit.
  23. Nope, we're running with 3 players next year.
