We’re all trying to mind control wish Stevens into being announced.

His original statement was its Stevens. The other day he said something like if people wanted it kept secret then it would be kept secret. Then he said he didn’t feel like he needed to repeat himself.

Yeagley said the other day he didn’t feel like he needed to repeat himself. He seemed confident. Who knows.

I used to pay for that site. Realized it was a huge waste. This place is soooooo much better.

We always mention a donor offering to pay the $10 million for a buyout and some write that off as no big deal. But I still see that as a big deal meaning we had a plan. But we never mention it was said by Dolson we had another donor lined up to handle the other side of this deal which is hiring a new coach. Fine you can say it’s no big deal a donor agreed to pay for Archie to leave because it was time. But I don’t believe the other donor is going to agree to pay for the new coach without knowing where his money is being spent ahead of time. That tells me there was a plan and Dolson had his guy before any of this went down.

Yea, wasn’t it said somewhere that Archie actually cleaned out his office the Thursday night or Friday before it went public he was fired?

Well if there were 5 or 6 meetings and it seemed they had agreement after talking for such a lengthy amount of time going back to Feb 15 and everyone left the meeting happy the day of presser, then it wouldn’t seem he would just change his mind that quickly based on anything Boston said to him.

Here’s another thing to think about. If Chris007 got info when things were good then it would seem he would also have gotten info that things had turned bad or deal was off. But instead he says things have just went quiet. That sounds like people wanting to kill the talk.

I saw that. But I just saw earlier Payne will stay with Knicks.

The Knicks are likely going to make the playoffs right? If the Knicks make the playoffs then they could still leak rumors that it is likely to be Woodson but then end up being Stevens.

We can let it wilt till the day of the first game if it means getting Stevens.

Maybe they have. Maybe Dolson and Stevens wanted all leaks plugged and now everything is being kept quiet.

So they had a meeting in Boco and 2 hrs later Stevens killed the rumors. Also remember it was literally minutes before the press conference we heard expect strong denials. It may not happen but it sure sounds like a play to kill the talk and direct attention to other people.

If this Stevens stuff is true then maybe all these contacts IU is rumored to be making is true just to keep the attention off Stevens so he can keep coaching Boston till he’s ready to step away.

Gotta finish those layups. Could have had a pretty nice lead if they knock those down.

The guy has made the tourney 2 times in 20 years. That’s all we need to know about him.

At this point I think I want Stevens more for the reason of media having to eat their words. Was just listening to Matt Jones (UK homer) say IU is the 2nd most overrated job in all of college sports behind Tennessee football. Claims the fans are unreasonable. A UK fan saying fans are unreasonable. Funny right? Then popped off about delusional fans actually thought Stevens would leave the Celtics to coach at IU. Nothing would be greater than shutting all their mouths.
