  1. I think OSU lost an assistant a few days ago. I wonder if their board has 23 pages about it... I do understand that this is not just any assistant, but still...
  2. Secretly, I was thinking this as well. We definitely need more offensive help than defensive.
  3. This strikes me as similar to the SEC's early advantage in the NIL game; they have already been doing for awhile.
  4. My current rankings of likeable: Leaving Woodson out due to my obvious bias. (1 is most likeable). (PSU) Shrewsbury: comes across as a good guy. I loved his making a trip to PSU "feel like a trip to the dentist" comment. He seems like the perfect coach for PSU. (Minn) Johnson: seems like a good guy. (OSU) Holtmann: I like his post game comments. (NU) Hoiberg: Seems likeable to me. It may be because in the Big Ten Guide to Basketball in the Conference, next to Nebraska it simply says "Mostly harmless". (RU) Pikiell: Seems to know what he is doing. I will probably learn to dislike him more as Rutgers becomes more of a regular threat. (PU) Painter: If he did not coach for Purdue would be much higher on my list. Seems like a straight shooter. (Iowa) McCaffery: post game seems fine - a bit too crazy during games to be higher (NW) Collins: Seems ok - no strong opinion (UI) Underwood: honestly, he seems fine to me. I put him this low because so many seem sure he is terrible. Honestly, I liked his post-game after our win. (UMCP) Willard: Love the guy; JK I do not follow much non-B1G basketball so I only heard of him yesterday. (MSU) Izzo: I do not think he requires too much explanation, but he is one whiney dude (UM) Howard: Was higher pre-contact with assistant. Probably should not be coaching college basketball. (Wisc) Gard: Comes across as a complete jerk to me. With the UM incident, he could have won some sympathy points. But his comments somehow gained Howard some sympathy points.
  5. No doubt. He was always a little overshadowed by Cheaney, but he was a player.
  6. Let's just win the next 40 against PU
  7. Did Archie beat Michigan? Not that we care AS much as PU, but...
  8. This the game we put it all together. IU: 76 UM: 62 Following the game, Coach Woodson stops Coach Howard to 'splain why Miller Kopp was taking a 3 pointer with 3 seconds in 73-62 game instead of a shot clock violation (something about 3 pointer and 4 technical fouls). After a brief exchange, Coach Howard dives across half the team to backhand Coach Hunter. Wisconsin fans spend the next two weeks explaining why IU was looking for it.
  9. IU 81 RU 77 after IU takes a commanding 79-32 lead, Rutgers closes on a 45-2 run to make it close.. EDIT: Corrected the run... arithmetic is hard :). Thanks DCH!
  10. I am a glutton for punishment: IU 67 OSU 61
  11. IU: 62 MSU: 59 Galloway does not come out until he fouls out with 45 seconds to go as the last scholarship player to foul out - except Duncomb, who does not play. The line-up of largely walk-ons that holds off the MSU surge in the final 45 seconds is: Shaan Burke, Nathan Childress, Sebastien Scott, Michael Shipp and Rob Phinisee in a boot (still shuts down the MSU guards).
  12. We already know he plays for Wisconsin.
  13. UI: 54 IU: 67 I think we come to play this week.
  14. Watch Durr start in this one ;)... coach held him out while he worked on some secret moves that will be unveiled for UI. Let him soften up Kofi and then bring in TJD
  15. I think we blow it open in the second half. IU: 83 NKU: 48
