I don't come here all the time and I don't know anyone personally, but this site is where I come for insights on the future for IU basketball. If it is all made up, some people are freaks at guessing things.

If Thad Matta wants and can physically coach again, there is no way he was staying as an assistant AD. If nothing else, he was probably making ~ $500k as an assistant AD and would command at least a few million as a head coach. That is a lot of money to leave on the table.

Even if we could have kept Walsh in his current position, if he has earned the assistant coach position it is time to promote. It is always a good idea to reward employees that are getting it done. .
