I disagree with this. If you made an elite 8 run every five years and coached 20 years I think all but the nuttiest of fans would be good. You’d have to think at least one of those turns into a final four. and you would assume if you got 4 elite 8’s you probably rack up say min 6-8 sweet sixteens.

If it’s DeVries in my opinion it’s a good hire. Not a great hire. And certainly not a grand slam. he will be a huge improvement over what we had the last four years though.

As with many of you it’s hard to separate what I know (knew) IU basketball to be growing up in the 70’s, 80’s and early 90’s being on campus. the realist in me gets it but the fan in me can’t imagine how coaches aren’t lining up for the job…

This process is exhausting. I understand it’s all rumors and I understand why we jumped to get this started so early…but for those of us overly invested…this is just exhausting.

I just don’t understand all the love for Drew. Something seems off to me a bout the idea of him being hired. 21 seasons. Resulting in 5 sweet sixteens of which three produced elite 8’s and one championship. Much better than what we’ve had no doubt, but I don’t see him as a home run in any circumstance Keep in mind the one title was in a very odd set up for a ncaa tournament and had a huge number of upsets.

I’ll believe it when someone besides a message board “insider” says it’s so. It may be true..may…but I think many are putting the cart before the horse.

I see very little chance it’s moser i think if it’s not Brad, which odds are low, then frankly it’s Woodson. I think the nba experience is going to be too big a thing for dolson.
