The rivals peeps are certainly implying Bennett. I don’t buy it....but I don’t know squat.

That’s because that page is full of the “it’s gotta be an IU guy” types.

Unfortunately as I watch games...hear coaches and read things all over I have come to grips with the fact that our reality is 1. Beilein 2. Matta if actually healthy 3. Fife 4. Mike Lewis no one elite or in a good spot is coming here...

Greg Tonagel is as good of a coach as several of the names on the list...

When I was sent the quote I did actually think it was a joke...or at least those last couple lines were a joke.

He was essentially saying as a kid IU was his dream...he loved it as a kid but he’s not a kid anymore...he’s moved on. Flattered but moved on.

Seriously. Give him 2million a year. No buyout if we fire him but buyout for him to quit. What leverage does he have? Look at the success the Indiana ties. The relationships. The X’s and O’s

Agreed he is the onLy IU guy I would consider, but I don’t think it has to be an IU guy. Kids today care about style and winning not 1970’s era IU.

I just don’t understand the fascination with fife....he might be. Good coach. But we don’t need another MIGHT.

Throw an enormous number at Stevens. When he 99.5% says no, then check on Mattas interest and health. when that 75% fails you go to someone way out of the box....but young exciting and good Indiana ties...
