  1. Their offensive coordinator won't be coming back after this season.
  2. TJD absolutely had a case for NPOY. Problem was Indiana lost too many games. TJD was just as good a scooter, better defender and way better passer.
  3. Yes. Trey finally improved in his 3rd year... because people can improve. Crazy.
  4. Did Galloway not play with arguably the player in the nation this past season and the best passing center in the nation?
  5. You literally just have to look up his stats. https://www.sports-reference.com/cbb/players/fletcher-loyer-1.html https://www.sports-reference.com/cbb/players/trey-galloway-1.html Go to advanced stats. It's right there.
  6. Theirs are basically the exact same. Trey averaged 1.3 more assist than turnovers. Loyer averaged 1.2. Loyer actually has a higher assist% and lower turnover% than Galloway as well.
  7. You missed your stats somewhere. Galloway only averaged 2.1 assists this past season and 0.8 turnovers. Loyer averaged 2.4 assists this past season and 1.2 turnovers. Galloway did about double him up on rebounds through 3 to 1.7.
  8. Loyer actually shot better as a freshman than Phin. And we all felt he was going to be good. And he probably would have been if it weren't for all the injuries. Loyer: 36.7% FG, 41.4% 2pt, 32.6% 3pt Phin: 36.1% FG, 39.5% 2pt, 31% 3pt As for your Galloway comparison... Galloway is definitely a better defender. But, Galloway and Loyer each had basically a 2:1 Assist to TO ratio. Galloway average 2.1 assist and 0.8 TO and Loyer averaged 2.4 assists and 1.2 TO. At some point, gotta take them crimson and cream glasses off. As for Galloway, he joins everyone else on the team in the fact he has a lot to prove this season. Every player on this team has a lot to prove this season and hopefully that puts a chip on their shoulders. Maybe they are reading this Top 100 for motivation.
  9. You know who else shot low 30s from 3 their freshman year? Luke Kennard. Doesnt mean Loyer is going t obecome that, but he can absolutely improve.
  10. If I'm the Pacers, 1st rounder and at least one young prospect. Also opens up minutes for Nembhard and Mathurin.
  11. Crazy things happen in college basketball. I think we were a good matchup for them compared to some other really good teams. But we didn't have a better season than them, though we really ended up basically where we were projected oddly enough.
  12. Definitely like 6-7. But that means Mgbako is like 6-9 or 6-10.
  13. You can add the 2002 Duke team to that as well. 2013 Indiana(I don't care what anyone has to say, they were the best team that year). But Purdue was without a doubt one of the the best teams in the nation and arguably the best. And a lot of that had to do with Edey but Loyer was 2nd best.
  14. Maybe it's just me, but CJ Gunn looks tall... Ware is very tall. Newton looks short.. and like a safety.
  15. The best team doesn't always win in March. Kind of the beauty of March Madness.
  16. Sure, but you can still project Loyer to be ahead of him. Loyer was the 2md best player on arguably the best team in the nation last season. Yea a lot of that had to do with Maple Yao, but Loyer is going to get a lot of credit for being #2 as a freshman on a team that was that good for the season. Galloway doesn't get that love because he wasnt the 2nd best player on arguably the best team in the nation. And like I said, you can make an argument for Trey Galloway to be Top 100, Top 85. Hell you could probably find a way for Top 75 if you wanted. But Galloway was still the 4th best player on a team that did and didn't underachieve. Loyer was #2 on a team that WAY overachieved. He's going to get way more love. He also has a Top 10 coach and a media darling at that.
  17. Give Tom Allen more time to embarrass the program?
  18. Can you name a player that's actually better than him though? Probably. But when you're in that area of a Top 100, Loyer could easily be #85 and he could be #115. #115 could be #85. To expect Loyer to not improve is kinda silly and he's probably going to be a top 5 SG in the B1G this coming year. Which again, not sure what that says about the B1G.
  19. You don't have to be athletic in college to be a good enough defender to be on the floor and be a positive player while on the floor. Jordy Hulls is a great example of that. A shooter who wasn't a good defender but was able to be his because of those surrounding him.
  20. Sure, but I can 100% guarantee you'd be singing the opposite tune if he were wearing an Indiana jersey.
  21. My guess is that Loyer will probably average about 15 and shoot in the 37-40 range from 3. I think he will end the season and be considered a top 15 player. Top 20 at worst. And he's already a Top 25 player in the B1G... though I'm not sure how much that's saying about the B1G.
  22. I've heard of him. But I definitely couldn't tell you a single song of his. But whatever gets the players and students hyped. I don't know how popular he is in today's "game." Do kids still listen to Gucci Mane or is it just Lil Poptart and Lil Chandelier or whatever other Lil's there are?
  23. I don't believe there are 95 players better than Antonio Reeves.
  24. And my point is, dirty hits are dirty hits. "You get hit in football" isn't an excuse for dirty hits. But you can keep piling on excuses and justifying stupidity if you want.
  25. ESPN will also be the first to rip him down if there is even the slightest chance possible. And they'll make it their goal to rip him down to the depths of hell when that opportunity comes. It's what they do. They'll specifically have certain people who go after him but they'll keep a couple others to stay on his side to make it seem like they are fair and unbiased. ESPN is like a soap opera.
