  1. Already hit 4 threes. Sent from my iPhone using BtownBanners
  2. Rough for KState. Pitt is not good. Sent from my iPhone using BtownBanners mobile app
  3. OSU playing sloppy and motionless on offense. Sent from my iPhone using BtownBanners
  4. Gonna have to hit some 3’s tonight. They’ll probably be doubling and tripling in the post. Sent from my iPhone using BtownBanners mobile app
  5. Must dominate the boards on both sides. Team is small. No reason we shouldn’t have a large rebounding advantage. Sent from my iPhone using BtownBanners
  6. Same. But I hope MSU and Izzo lose every game. Sent from my iPhone using BtownBanners mobile app
  7. I’m not complaining. But I do think a little more speed would help this set of players. This team could honestly cause more turnovers and get more steals really if they played the passing lanes more and we are at 7.0 per game over last years 6.5. Extra possessions that way are big. Our size also has us at 8.0 extra scoring chances per game. Which is 30th nationally. Last year we were at -0.2. I think we could do better on the defensive boards, especially considering the teams we’ve played. We give up 7.2(70th) offensive boards this year, which is better than last years 8.5. 8. And we are at 70 possessions per game which is 259th. We are scoring 1.003 points per possession which is 24th. We are getting 7.0 steals a game which is 136th. Steals per defensive play is at 9.1% which 112th and steals per possession is at 10% which 113th. So those aren’t bad numbers. I do think the offense could be sped up a bit which would really help keep the defense off balance and would be good for drives to dump off or lob to TJD, Smith, Brunk, Thompson and Davis. 9. Does it really impact it though? If it’s a shooting foul, are they getting fouled on a 2pt shot or a 3? If they are shooting 2’s anyways then it has no impact on possessions where we’d shoot 3’s. Sent from my iPhone using BtownBanners mobile app
  10. I’ll put this here rather than clog up the Leal thread. Indiana 3pt stats 35.4% which is good. The problem hasn’t been making them this season though. 3pt makes per game: 5.6 which is 280th nationally. 3pt attempts per game: 15.8 per game which is 331st per game. 3pt rate is 27.1% which is 332nd in the nation. There are 353 teams in D1 b-ball. Sent from my iPhone using BtownBanners
  11. Sure. But if it’s only 5 makes a game... it seems insignificant, but even 7 or 8 makes is a big difference. Just like last season, we hit just a few more FT’s a game and we would have been a tourney team. It seems insignificant but causes a much bigger change. 12. Yea... refs in the first half were pretty trash though. Dayton probably could have stabbed someone and gotten away with it. Sent from my iPhone using BtownBanners mobile app
  13. Dayton is basically getting away with murder on half these plays. This officiating is pretty embarrassing. Sent from my iPhone using BtownBanners
  14. Georgia isn’t playing great, but Dayton is getting away with a lot of physicality and has gotten away with a lot of fouls. Sent from my iPhone using BtownBanners
  15. Yea... yet the offense has looked best this season when it’s been sped up. So it’s kind of odd to not want this team going a bit. Sent from my iPhone using BtownBanners mobile app
  16. But when 2 of your 3 best players either play in the paint or slash and score in the paint, the space is needed. Sent from my iPhone using BtownBanners mobile app
  17. Phinisee isn’t there yet. He’s still looking pretty rough. But it might be time to move Green into the starting lineup over Franklin. Sent from my iPhone using BtownBanners mobile app
  18. Bad loss for Vermont. Sent from my iPhone using BtownBanners
  19. Plan on watching some of it. Sent from my iPhone using BtownBanners mobile app
  20. They just have the makeup of a really good regular season team. But this year they don’t have 3 guys who can go get a bucket almost at will. Teams at the top aren’t as good as they were last season, including Virginia, but I think you still have to put them on the outside looking in as title contenders because they don’t have a great guard. And championship teams have at least one great guard. Sent from my iPhone using BtownBanners mobile app
  21. Huff comes off the bench for them. Diakite is long and athletic. It’ll be interesting to see how they defend some of the bigger guys like when they play Duke or the length when they play a team like Florida State. Sent from my iPhone using BtownBanners mobile app
  22. I don’t doubt them being a Top 10-15 team all year. I could see them rising to Top 5 at some point. But people shouldn’t underestimate what it means to have at least 1 great guard and Virginia doesn’t have that this season. Pretty much every title team has at least one. I think this year they will be a good bet for the Elite 8 but I don’t consider them legitimate title contenders. Sent from my iPhone using BtownBanners mobile app
  23. That Illinois team was also an offensive juggernaut. So kind of the opposite. They averaged 86.4 ppg compared to Virginia at 58.4 ppg. They also had dominate guards in Nick Anderson and Kendall Gill. Sent from my iPhone using BtownBanners mobile app
  24. Didn’t work out too well for us. It’ll end up biting them in the butt just because they don’t have a dominate guard like they had last season where they had 2. Sent from my iPhone using BtownBanners mobile app
  25. Virginia is going to be different this season. Obviously with 3 stars leaving it’ll change but they are now very undersized with their starting 5. Diakite has to play center at 6-9 220 and Braxton is playing the 4 at 6-8 230. They then start 5-9, 6-3 and 6-5. It’s about like Indiana in 2015 but better coached.
