I never said he could shoot 3’s. I just said he is a wing. And he is. But then again, you for whatever believe that anyone who can’t shoot the 3 isn’t a wing. You can change it, but it’s fact. Media fished about Archie. They did about Shaka when he went to Texas. Taggart when he went to Florida State. Charlie Strong when he went to Texas. When the Knicks hired Fizdale. When the Knicks hire their next coach. Because sometimes, they get it right. At the same time when they constantly promote specific schools, biased towards specific schools or conferences or cover specific school with a different tone, kids see that. Recruits see it. I’ll answer a little... 2. The only big fish you named were Langford and TJD. Phinisee wasn’t considered that by any means. He was ranked 135 in the 247composite. Hunter was #59. Leal is #97. You’re definition of big fish is incredibly skewed. Big fish are Langford and TJD. Burger boys. Top 30 guys. 4. As far as winning goes, we should win 25+ games a year and be Top 15 in the nation every year and Top 5 in the Big Ten every year. That’s winning. 5. What the media says is important and kids nowadays SEE IT EVERYWHERE. It’s not 1985 anymore. Facebook, Twitter, SnapChat, Instagram etc all exist. Media is everywhere and at the tips of their fingers. They see Duke and Kentucky. Even local media matters to have a good narrative with. And we are in the 3rd season with Archie’s players. I think he should have just been honest. Look how much that helped Crean. Crean told us it would take a lot of time. I think even he was surprised we were good in season 4. If Archie would have said “this is going to take a lot of time(and money). Fans will need to be ready for the long haul because it’ll take 4 or 5 years to lay the ground work.” That would have been better. It would have gotten people into a mindset. But then we aren’t told there is a massive rebuild until after a season of play? Where is the transparency and trust? We fans want to know just about everything and yet we got left in the dark. If it is going to take 4 or 5 years to get the ball rolling, we need to know. I didn’t expect them to make the tourney this season. But I’ll psych myself into thinking they will.
