Has a team who wasn’t going to make the tournament ever won the Big Ten tournament? Have a weekend event after the non conference schedule. I’d even go as far as making it like an NBA All-Star weekend with a skills challenge, dunk contest and 3pt contest with games surrounding it. And then give the guys a little time off before conference schedule begins. I wouldn’t give the winner an auto-bid for the tourney but I think you could find some sort of incentive. Personally I wish the Big Ten would either get rid of the Big Ten tournament or move it. Get rid of it and be able to move all Big Ten games past all or most non conference games. If Archie whiffs on this class, he’s done at Indiana. We need a point guard and a couple of big men. We have enough wings considering Hunter, Leal, Geronimo and Galloway will likely still be playing. That covers the 2-3 spots. We need a point guard(Lander would honestly probably start over Phinisee if he can’t improve) and we need a few big men. Gotta make a splash with this class. He needs to overhaul his system. A simple yet difficult change. His form of the pack line just isn’t working. You can run a simple man to man and be successful and defend the 3pt line. When mine really started back in HS I didn’t care about social media. I wasn’t active on FB, Twitter or anything. But I did miss half a basketball season my sophomore year, 6th man my junior year but was treated like crap and then cut my senior year. Now I will say, because I got cut I did get way better than I would have if I wasn’t, but it didn’t help me mentally. And it just snowballed really into school and the rest of life. My anxiety attacks have never been too bad luckily. But the depression and the ups and downs are bad enough. I will say, having an anxiety attack while putting your son to sleep and having to calmly call for your wife to get him so you can calm down is scary as hell. He might just be Remy Abell. Personally, don’t think we should have gone after him considering the problems we have and he’s not likely to actually help fix it like Leal might be. But it’s going to be an underwhelming class for a couple years. I guess you should blame the people making the highlights. But he’s listed at 6-4 and the #135 player in the nation. Looking more like a guy who won’t be able to play the 2 until his Junior or Senior year. And with the player development we’ve seen under Archie... never. From the most recent I just watched, he will be a 3 at Indiana. He definitely won’t be a guard in Archie’s system considering he watches the ball while dribbling too much(which he shouldn’t be at this point in his career).
