  1. Painter played Ethan Morton. Leal would absolutely play. But Painter wouldn't have ruined him and sat him for years like Archie and Woodson.
  2. The Leal slander is absolutely wild. Dude busted his @$$ to get in the rotation because Woody was just that stupid. Then became the best defender on the team by light-years and was without a doubt the best defender in the Big Ten(got absolutely screwed by voters looking for names). Even without scoring he was a positive on the floor simply by knowing where to be, by knowing where everyone else was supposed to be, actually caring to play FOR Indiana and being the only player on the roster who knew the concept of swinging the ball. His IQ alone put him ahead of other dudes. If a coach would give him a green light to shoot, he'd probably be a better shooter but he understood his role to be an absolute menace on defense and he didn't care to do the dirty work. That's a dude everyone should want. That's a dude that we would absolutely hate for eternity if he had played for Michigan State or Purdue.
  3. Leal 100% for you? I believe you told me he was never going to be good enough to play at this level. Even with Leal being the GOAT, it's time for him to move on from the program.
  4. And it still wasn't enough. Against Kentucky, he took to Anthony Davis and outplayed him in both games. That was a common theme against most opponents. Seemed we tried to force it more against the teams he struggled against like Minnesota and Syracuse.
  5. It's kind of weird thing. Because it's great to be able to grab 2nd chances. At the same time, gotta capitalize. At the same time, high offensive rebounding numbers(per game) means you're missing a lot. A high FG% mixed with a high OFF Reb% is ideal.
  6. I was screaming the same thing. Zeller was just that good. Same for TJD. Same for DJ white. Same for Jeffries. Some dudes are that good and worth it. This roster does have that.
  7. I prefer basically everything over the last 8 years.
  8. I don't Trey Burke ever scored a point with Oladipo on him.
  9. TJ Power, a once big time want for Indiana... Now going to Penn.
  10. It is wild that a player who ended up being that good was at VU. My FR year there it was Delaney who was an AA and went to New Mexico. Darius Carter who averaged 7.9ppg off the bench(5th leading scorer) for an undefeated Wichita State. He was the 3rd leading scorer the following year at 11.4 and WSU went 30-5 and to the S16. The starting SG was a FR and ended up at Penn State and was a bench piece his SR year.
  11. I think the JUCO, D2, and low mid-major is a route for some of these high school players that would have been recruited to a higher level if the transfer portal didn't exist. Freshman classes for high majors have gotten super small, which has forced high school players into different avenues to get there later. VU gets a lot of D1 athletes that need to up their academics.
  12. Marion was getting paid well at VU(which sounds wild for a JUCO kid). The AD at the time was a teacher of a class I took and told us about it.
  13. There was a dude I went to VU with that went to New Mexico. Deshawn Delaney. Was a 2x JUCO AA. Averaged 5.3ppg his first year and 11.7 his 2nd year at New Mexico. Shot 35% from 3. Super athlete.
  14. There are some good JUCO players out there.
  15. Uhhh... Yea pretty much. Though DeVries and Sisley would be the PF.
  16. What a lot of IU fans need to do right meow... It's all gonna be just fine and we will all be hyped. This is a fan based that hyped themselves into believing Tim Priller could ever contribute. I think we can handle this.
  17. If two of our best players play a total of 8 games and we go 19-13(10-10)... Yea I'll be fine with that. Context matters.
  18. Depends on the health of the roster. If we are missing two of our best players like WVU last year, I don't think fans will be mad at it.
  19. Only game Princeton played against a power conference team was against Rutgers. Princeton won. Lee had 21 points points, 11 assists, 6 rebounds and 3 steals. Dylan Harper was on the other side of him with 22 points, 2 assists, 5 rebounds and 2 steals.
  20. 8.8ppg at St. Johns 16.8ppg at Wisconsin 6.1 at Kansas Make it make sense.
