I feel we kinda had that in 2020. But we had a couple dudes who could go make plays and weren't just out there to watch the game. DLine was still weak but our secondary made plays.

Isn't Tom Allen supposed to be a "defense" guy? Cause this defense sucks. Shoulda paid out the a$$ to keep Womack.

College offensive coordinators are generally just God awful at their job. Why is it so popular to try and run it up the middle on 3rd and 2+? App State with a chance to keep the pressure on A&M, 3rd and 5... Run it up the middle.. like how stupid can you be? Bama offensive coordinator finally figured it out in the 4th quarter to just start passing the ball only.

Texas kept going for the IU play calling and running it up the middle on 3rd and 2 when it's not worked.

Texas screwing themselves with some terrible play calling. Bama about to score and it'll be over from there.

Wild to think back at that and see John Konchar getting another deal with the Grizzlies. And the Grizzlies seem to live him. Only other guys still in the NBA from that game are Bryant and OG.

Oof that sucks... I mean he was our best lineman on a line that was already horrid... Honestly don't think it really matters in the grand scheme. Hopefully he can come back to a new position coach next year.

Did I say that? No. I said he'd be bad if he had IUs offensive line. Calling them "bad" is a hell of a compliment.

No I am being serious. This offensive line is that horrid. There wasn't a point in time where they didn't get pushed back.

The problem is, Shivers is probably decent. But the offensive line is so terrible. I don't care if we had Barry Sanders, Jerome Bettis, Reggie Bush and LaDanian Tomlinson for running backs. They'll look the exact same as our RBs did last night. Like garbage.

From what I saw.. - Offense has some shades of the Wilson days. Much quicker plays than Sheridan gave us but also many of the ad things from the Wilson offenses.. too many plays from behind the line of scrimmage. - Offensive line is just weak. I don't know what is being coached there but they just consistently are getting blasted by the opposing line. There just never seems to be any direction as to where they block. I mean on run plays there isn't any urgency to create holes and push forward. They almost fall back and wait to get hit. - Running game will continue to suck until the offensive line learns to play football. Unfortunately for Shivers, he came here to run behind the worst line in the country. - Defense obviously made plays when needed. Lot of bending without breaking mentality. Defensive line was still super weak most of the night. Secondary looked slow. Physically and reactionary. We really don't have any ball hawks out in the secondary. Taiwan Mullen has definitely not made the leaps expected after his freshman year. - Thought it was odd that the middle of the field was left so open all night. Not sure of the scheme we run though. Considering how weak our DLine is, kinda wish we could go back to basics with a 4-3 base or something and get some dudes in the box. Gotta be able to stop the run and get pressure on the QB. Really only successful a few times. - Connor looked decent. As long as he has time but that can be said for any QB. He definitely has talent and an arm. Closest thing we've had to Sudfeld in a while I think. An really throw some pretty balls and make it look kinda effortless.
