Because it's the Big Ten. The amount of common sense in scheduling is probably in the negatives. You should ask yourself why Indiana has to play Rutgers, Iowa, Illinois, Michigan State, Michigan and Purdue twice. -
No one said uniforms were the end all be all. That uniforms were going to change the program. But holy hell at some point get creative. The "tradition" reasoning is the absolute LAMEST excuse on the planet. As if Kansas, Kentucky, Duke, Michigan State etc don't have any tradition at all. Indiana likes to be boring. That's just a fact. Old man fans want Indiana to be this under the radar program... Well now we are under the radar, because we aren't any good. Spice things up a bit, throw out some alternates, get recruits eyes to look, get current players blood flowing a little, throw some gray or black trim in there, some script lettering or some stripes or design somewhere. Have some freaking fun for once.

I'll say this, Race is supposed to be out glue guy, our tough guy, our hustle guy. He's been none of it. Race might be great in practice, BUT at some point, you've gotta show up in games. At some point what you're doing on the court in a game has to mean more. This is a team that should be searching for answers anywhere it could. Maybe planting Races booty firmly on the bench would make something click in his head finally this season. He might be better than Banks, but how do we know how Banks would answer when getting run with the starters? I think there are solutions here. Maybe going small and athletic would be the better option. I mean we've won a B1G title with Troy Williams at the 4. It can be done again.

Right... But rather than look at from your old geezer eyes, look at it from an 18 year olds perspective. Let's face it, Adidas is garbage. It has been for a long time. And he's right, "swag" is important. Or I think kids nowadays use the word "drip" or something like that. Gotta cater to them. Catering to 60 year olds... Not gonna get you anywhere. It could definitely help IU to throw out some news unis and have alternates. It never hurts... Unless you're sponsored by Adidas... And you get pink highlighter unis like Louisville did.

These are the 9 seasons leading up to the BE breakup and the 9 after. I didn't like the breakup then, I didn't like the other schools leaving for the ACC. 10 years later, UofL, Cuse, Pitt and Notre Dame... Meh to really bad. UConn? Makes a move BACK to the Big East... 2nd year in and they are the best team in the Big East. Personally, I felt if those schools were going to leave that UConn, UofL, Syracuse, Notre Dame, Pitt should have just started their own conference completely. Would have benefitted their programs way more in the long run. Go ahead and bring along South Florida and 4-6 others and I think you'd have a great 4-5 bid conference. Conference realignment has done nothing more than create more 1 bid leagues and I think that's hurt college basketball. But what do I know. And during all that time... They were a middle of the pack Big East team... Then a certain thing happened... Before 2014, Nova had won conf titles in: 1978, 1979, 1980, 1982, 1997, 2006... Just 7. After the breakup... 2014, 2015, 2016, 2017, 2019, 2020, 2021... 7 more... Conf tourneys? Had only won 2 before and won 5 after. That breakup did more to college basketball than people want to realize. And I don't believe in a good way.
