  1. And that would make sense to me when it comes to seeding. I remember in 2014, SMU was like 22nd or something and I kept telling people they weren't making the tourney. Told the AAC teams were going to be about 2-3 seed lines less than they believed. I ended up right and SMU, even though they were ranked in the AP, got left out of the NCAA tourney. Some were mad but their resume didn't show a tourney team by any means.
  2. Oh what a surprise. The "you're not a real fan" argument.
  3. Well they were 19th the week before that and got beat by Arizona. They were 14th before that but got hammered by Rutgers.
  4. Correct. And I know it doesn't matter. But I have my reasoning. Can it be flawed? Sure. Do I miss things? Absolutely. There are a lot of teams and a lot of games going on. Obviously I can't watch every single one. So I have to look at scores and stats to figure things out. I also have my own opinions and don't ever follow what the AP does(as seen by the fact I release my polls at 11). I think I've been putting out a Top 25 since 2016. Been really paying attention since about 2011(back on the old and awesome ESPN comment section days). I do a Top 25 because it's fun. It's a good conversation starter. I get to talk about it on my podcast some. I don't expect anyone to take it that seriously, but clearly people have and it's gotten some riled up(which might be a good thing?)
  5. My measuring stick is the same. If you're 22nd in the polls and you go out and get absolutely throttled, you're moving out. Did the same with Kentucky who was 18th. Now if all the teams I was considering had lost, they would have stayed in.
  6. Sure. But again, this isn't seeding time for the tourney. And since that Xavier win, dominated at Rutgers so they moved down, dominated by Arizona and so they moved down. Destroyed by Kansas and they moved out. I'm not sure what's difficult about that to get.
  7. Is there a logical reason to have IU in?
  8. How was that not targeting?
  9. Okay cool. 61 AP voters. Only two have IU out. Am I supposed to have the exact same opinion as everyone else? Does Penn State belong? Hell I don't know. Does Indiana? Maybe, maybe not. Does Illinois? Maybe. I don't know. Does Kentucky? Maybe. Why does it hurt your feelings that Indiana isn't in my poll?
  10. PSU is on a 5 game winning streak with a dominating win over Illinois and just beat Iowa. So they d been moving up.
  11. That isn't the reason. More of the fact I had them at 22, they got destroyed by Kansas, they moved out, Iowa State and Illinois moved ahead of them and Miami, Kansas State and Marquette joined the Top 25 from 23-25.
  12. Bingo. I don't think many get how these Top 25s work.
  13. So I should have moved them back in without playing a game?
  14. Cool story bro. I took IU out weeks ago after getting destroyed by Kansas. Which clearly isn't just a "because they played at Kansas" deal.
  15. The team he was on... No. Romeo? Dude averaged 17ppg with a screwed up shooting hand.
  16. Until they play us.. then some dude will become Steph Curry. Because that's our luck.
  17. I'd say 6-7 would fit well. Not that says the Big Ten is definitively better than the ACC or SEC. But it could help that the Pac12 and Big East really struggled.
  18. They could... And they couldn't. Big Ten got a little overrated early. Have come back to earth pretty hard.
  19. Big Ten might only be like a 6 bid conference.
  20. Huh... Wonder who ESPN favors here... Couldn't be the Big Ten team whose conference told them to shove it... But .. Stetson Bennett to the Colts.
