  1. And because I don't have a clue who DSH is.
  2. I ate a great lunch, then I took a massive dump to make room for dinner. What did I miss? Kidding aside...it's another wonderful day in this precious and fleeting life. Enjoy your day, folks, and have a Happy Friday!
  3. At first, it certainly did seem like damn straight good news...until I noticed who also followed Boogie. It might come down to a battle between the finances of mcuban and the influence of wukaduk. We shall see.
  4. The Montverde team I watched tonight was talented, and as good as what I can only imagine most college teams hope to be this year. I hope they do show more of their games. With the recent success of that program, one would assume they would. If IU lands Queen too, then it's one more reason I want to watch as many of their games as I can...but, even if they don't, I would like to find a way to watch them.
  5. This account mentioned only two five-stars teaming up rather than three, so please don't be sad about it.
  6. Can we add Jalen Haralson and Trent Sisley to that group? They would be fun to watch win a final four with the others too, wouldn't they?
  7. I'm just seeing this. Is Indiana the oddity here, or what? Indiana Quinnipiac - Not a finalist Rutgers Stanford Tennessee UCLA Vanderbilt Wisconsin Xavier - Not a finalist
  8. I’ve been watching the games and I’m happy to see JHS receiving so much playing time and contributing. I hope he improves his free throw shooting to above 50%, but beyond that I’ve been pretty impressed overall. I wish TJD and Race weren’t hurt and could have played too.
  9. And, unfortunately, he did not travel with the team and will not compete in any of the Summer League games. Injuries have been an ongoing issue with his career. I hope he gets healthy and finds an opportunity to play someplace. I always admired his toughness, and I’m sure he could have a career overseas.
  10. My friend’s wife is a liar. I didn’t want to believe her, but she does have a really nice set. Good work, NGW.
  11. My friend's wife flashed her set on a SnapChat video and Mgbako saw it. He praised her for how well they have held up (my friend is 50 and his wife is seven years older than he is). She thanked him and said she would share more of her gilf body in direct messages if he told her which school he was committing to. Anyways, my friend said Mackenzie told her he's still unsure but he's 99.997% sure he's going to select Kansas (maybe because my friend and his wife live in Iowa, which is closer to Kansas, but maybe he has other reasons beyond this). The funniest part is, my friend's wife didn't show anything more...yet, she got the answer she wanted. One of us will be right. One of us will be wrong. At least I shared specifics of what I learned with the others...despite the fact this is my friend's wife I'm throwing under the bus.
  12. They’re turkeys. You do need to have your vision checked…you are probably past due for a stronger prescription.
  13. And the health and development of the current roster, decisions of other possible commits, schedule, coaching, officiating, team chemistry, etc.
  14. You claim some things are completely fabricated, but you can’t know that. The reason you give for your hunch could be misinterpreted. He could have gone on his visit to Kansas and wanted to commit, then was told to finish his visits. Later, after visiting Indiana, he and his family became more convinced and certain Kansas was the right fit so they canceled the UL visit. I don’t know. I hope not. It’s possible. And it’s possible the “fabrications” are not fabricated. It’s also possible the “fabrications” are fabricated. The truth is, none of us know this. He may have visited Indiana and made his decision, as you predict, and I wouldn’t discount that as a real possibility. However, he could have gone to Indiana and then for whatever reason decided there was no need for more visits because he was already sold on Kansas (as some others predict). Either way, we’ll never know if those who predicted correctly used insider knowledge or a gut feeling. My guess with this tight-lipped recruitment, though, is only a small number of people know (likely his family and those working with his family…and likely no one on message boards). That’s the issue I have with many of your posts. You say things based on gut feelings or some knowledge of the recruiting/NIL/agencies and expect everyone to listen and believe the words you say, yet you come off as condescending to many others with their own knowledge and their own gut feelings. I appreciate your input, as I do everyone’s, but as another poster said, you can’t claim to not care what others think about your posts, and yet, still routinely search for validation.
  15. Give this kid a contract! He's the next Dennis Rodman. Kidding aside, you are right. Sellers is an excellent three-point shooter. He has surprising hops as well.
  16. I don’t believe many, if any, of us need a novel written from you to explain how social media works. I know how social media works, and I don’t use it. I choose not to. It’s used differently by different people. Some are prowlers looking for hookups and like the posts of hot girls (or boys) and hope to find the one from the 200 they sent a message to respond in kind (it’s a numbers game for some). Some use it to brag on their kids or themselves. Some use it to play victim. Some like to use it to pretend their life is different from reality because what others think of them is more important than what they know of themselves. Some use it for encouragement or motivation. Some use it with compassion and hope to help others, while others choose to blow candles out because they think it makes their light burn more brightly. While others are just a** hats who are mean and despicable. Some like the feeling of validity that comes from having a lot of friends listed, whether they chat with any of their “friends” or not, while others like a lot of friends and followers because they’re bored and need people to chat with. Some share photos of their kids for family far away (or close). Some use it for business, career-based connections, or personal promotion of some kind. Some use it as a platform or for making money. Some use it for following the decision making of college recruits. The list goes on. I’m not doubting or disagreeing it’s promising he made a lot of connections on his visit to Bloomington, but that’s what he should have done during his visit. It’s also what he should do on any other visits, if he takes them. novel written
  17. I agree, wholeheartedly. I don’t use any of the social media platforms he’s making these follows, posts, etc, but If I did, and if I was meeting people anywhere who might somehow be important connections in the near future or down the road (or just friendly people I enjoyed meeting), then it would make sense to follow them, friend them, or whatever. If he’s made other visits, though, then it seems he would be doing the same with people elsewhere if that is his motive. Who knows?
  18. I read the concerns in this thread about a one-liner from Mike Woodson saying, "I'm not sure how long I'll be doing this, but..." Is this the only reference where this "he might be looking to leave sooner than anticipated" is coming from, or is there more to it and has Woodson openly mentioned anything about retiring before his contract is up? Because in my eyes (ears), "I came here to get Indiana back on top...I'm not sure how long I'll be doing this but..." is Woodson saying he's not sure how long it will take, but he still has one goal in mind and hopes it can happen before he's done. Maybe he's been grumbling harder this year than ever before, like Chris mentioned, and maybe there's more to it, but from this one line I thought nothing of it. To me, he's just stating the obvious...that he's not sure how long it will take to reach the goal he's set in his mind. And, as we all know, it may never happen with Woodson at the helm, but to me, he's just saying he still has his sights set on something and I don't foresee him bailing out before the contract expires...unless they have a couple awful seasons and he sees the best thing he can do for getting Indiana back is to step down. Indiana isn't there yet, so I wouldn't expect him to be leaving anytime soon, regardless of a one-line comment on the fly during an interview.
  19. Breakfast in Bloomington thread, or transfer portal thread?
  20. I wonder how tight Sydney Parrish is with Sedona Prince. They were 2/5 of Oregon’s Fab Five in 2020. I know Moren has two very capable interior players, and I have no idea what level of interest Prince would have with IU, but she’s certainly a rare talent. And IU needs depth in the interior. Could she coexist with Holmes, and does she have those special traits Moren apparently seeks in her players? Paopao is also leaving Oregon. She’s a high volume/high percentage shooter from distance (42 and an half percent on almost 200 attempts this season), and she’s considered one of the best point guards in the country. Again, not sure what interest there would be on either end, and I doubt Indiana will be worried about guard depth. Just throwing it out there, as her and Prince mean the complete departure of Oregon’s talented 2020 recruits I know the incoming and current guards have their backcourt stuffed full, despite the departure of Berger. Where they need more depth is in the front court. Holmes and Meister will be a phenomenal front court duo without any help (if significant injuries don’t occur), but it wouldn’t hurt to add another forward for depth. I wonder what sort of connection Parrish might have with Prince. She will almost certainly be playing in the WNBA after next season, and her declaration to enter the portal is too new for her name to come up in any rankings, but I can only imagine she’ll be among the most sought after portal players.
  21. I’ve watched him play many times. There was one thing that jumped out each time I watched him. He goes after…EVERY…missed shot. I’m not sold on him starting in the Big 10 in year one, but I’m sold on him fighting every day in practice to prove he belongs…and I bet he works his a** off to make it hard for the coaching staff to leave him rotting away on the bench. I watched what turned out to be his final game as a Cardinal in Worthen Arena. He had just been brought back from sitting out a game due to an injury to his wrist. With his wrist taped up, he was still relentless on the glass and led all scorers for BSU with 20-something. This wasn’t an atypical game for him. In that same game, he turned his ankle towards the end of the game and he was clearly hurting. He was limping and hobbling up and down the floor, but he was still successfully going after everything that bounced off the board or rim. He was clearly frustrated each time Lewis pulled him, but Lewis didn’t keep him out long…he knew he had to keep plugging him back in despite the bum ankle and wrist. He’s a workhorse. He’s not a tall center, but a mighty one. I hate seeing him leave Lewis and BSU, but I’m glad he’s a Hoosier. He wants a bigger challenge, and he’ll get it. We’ll see how the Big10 treats him, but he was very good in the MAC. As for the kid’s character, I’ve spoken with him a couple times. He didn’t know me from Adam, but he was respectful, humble, and kind. I think he’ll be another strong-character type Hoosier Nation will find easy to root for. There’s also something exciting about watching a kid wear candy stripes who dreamed of playing in Bloomington. Lastly, Woodson may not be guaranteeing him playing time, but I would bet Sparks is willing and able to earn some…and to make the best of what time he gets. He’s a very capable passer, he’s passionate about rebounding, he has a knack for finding ways to score, he’s a tough player to guard, and he is an above-average interior defender. We’ll see how his game translates to the Big10 and Woodson’s offense, but I think it’s a good pickup and he should find some quality playing time.
  22. https://naismithfanvote.com/ you can vote once per day until March 28th. I voted for, and will continue to vote for, TJD and Teri Moren. I gave Clark and Painter the other two. Perhaps I’m just a Big 10 homer.
  23. ESPN’s latest mock draft has Grace going ninth to the Storm. Here’s to continued success in Grace’s career! She’ll be a great ambassador for Indiana basketball long after graduation.
  24. I’m well aware of the connections. It seems, to me, you missed my point.
  25. The good news is . It can also be said . He’s going to Indiana until he says he’s not . Indiana till it’s not .
