  1. Jerome Hunter projected as a good fit in Mike Woodson’s system. The new IU head coach talked about why that didn’t work out and what he thinks about his arsenal of 3-point shooters who remain. https://www.thedailyhoosier.com/mike-woodson-calls-jerome-hunters-transfer-mutual-parting-of-ways/
  2. Take a look at the final NBA regular season stats and key notes for the nine former Hoosiers who saw action in the league in 2020-21. https://www.thedailyhoosier.com/how-former-iu-basketball-players-are-performing-in-the-nba-end-of-regular-season-edition/

  5. Q&A with Filipowski. Like all recruits these days, I asked him about his impressions of Woodson. I thought he gave a good answer. https://www.thedailyhoosier.com/qa-with-latest-iu-basketball-offer-recipient-2022-4-star-forward-kyle-filipowski/
  6. So you think with Race, Geronimo, Kopp and Hunter on the roster, there are going to be meaningful segments where none of them are on the floor and IU is going to opt for four guys 6-5 and under? You could be right, but I am not seeing it.
  7. That's an interesting take since the entire analysis is basically -- either Race makes 3s or he can't play the 4.
  8. Credit for the interview and story goes to Dustin Dopirak. Thanks for reading!
  9. Miller Kopp made three trips to Bloomington with Northwestern, and each time seeds were planted that led to today. "That’s my favorite arena to play at in college basketball." https://www.thedailyhoosier.com/miller-kopp-finds-a-fit-with-former-rivals/
  10. Bates' high school coaches on the player IU is getting: https://www.thedailyhoosier.com/tamar-bates-coaches-hes-special/
  11. Mike Woodson's lone promise to Tamar Bates sounds a lot like the way Bob Knight once recruited, and probably the way Knight recruited Woodson. “Coach Woodson stressed to me that I will become a better man" And that was the main thing Bates needed to hear. https://www.thedailyhoosier.com/tamar-bates-mike-woodson-promised-to-make-me-a-better-man/
  12. Everyone who is anyone follows The Daily Hoosier......or something like that. ;)

  18. I believe 6-5 is accurate after standing next to him and talking to him this summer.
  19. Deland McCullough was busy preparing for a divisional round NFL playoff game against Cleveland just four days away when he saw the news that Mike Hart was leaving IU. He stopped what he was doing and picked up his phone. “That was a text that I wasn’t expecting, to be honest with you,” Tom Allen said. “I was surprised. When I read it, I was like, ‘Seriously?’” https://www.thedailyhoosier.com/deland-mccullough-didnt-hide-his-enthusiasm-for-returning-to-iu-i-hit-tom-up-as-soon-as-i-saw-it/
  20. I told Gunn and his dad that yesterday -- that his high character, high academics, strong work ethic, strong family background really fits well with what Archie did in the 2020 and 2019 classes and seems to be emphasizing more and more. I'm with you, I don't know how exactly it translates to winning but having a smart, committed team that works hard doesn't seem like a bad thing.
