They seem like a very poorly coached team. Turnovers, second chance points and zero solid offensive sets. Purdue is simply not taking advantage and these Mean Green kids are finding ways to score

You’re 100% wrong. I never said anything negative or derogatory to/about anyone. Perhaps you need to reread my posts and direct your vitriol where warrented. As for me, I’m done discussing this with you. -

It’s also a discussion board so if you don’t like criticism don’t post your fantasies and call them fact. I get that it’s fun to have “insiders” post info we all want to hear, but if I say Rob is the best PG in IU history, you and the other mods aren’t going to echo your statement when everyone tells me I’m an idiot. -

There was simply no need for him to rub our noses in it like that. Absolutely uncalled for -

That’s not a thing. People are getting way ahead of themselves and the “it’s done” noise is just that at this point. -

Why? So you can read about how everything is or isn’t happening? You’ve never learned anything from Sam Story you couldn’t assume or guess yourself. If you’re gonna be a groupie, find someone with talent -

Tracy is Brad’s agent. Did they somehow leave that out? If so, it’s bad info -

Well that’s not good. My guess is they gave up on the idea of coming back then and sold it. I wasn’t aware. Can’t imagine they’d go to the trouble of selling it and buying another one for as limited amount of time as they’d have there....doesn’t mean he wouldn’t like to now though. I’ve met a handful of people who have homes on that lake, never been myself, but they are all addicted to it...Never stop talking about it. They all have their regular friends/family and their lake WaWa friends/family like it’s two separate worlds. -

I’m not saying it isn’t possible but no one on message boards or even within the IU program would have that kind of access into Tracy’s mindset/lifestyle preferences. Seems more likely that all the “wife wants this/that” was born from misguided assumptions/wishful thinking than actual fact. -

I didn’t realize Tracy isn’t from Indiana so unless she developed some strong connection to it from her college and post grad days, the notion that she would push for this move appears to be misguided speculation. She went home and got her law degree in Cleveland to be closer to her mom when she was dying of cancer. It’s not likely she has family in Indy. That said, Brad’s “happy place” is their Lake Wawasee vacation home which they kept so that’s not nothing. -

The out of bounds plays he drew up, especially for TJD ar the rim were also a vast upgrade to whoever was in charge of that before -

This is what Isiah is good at. All the off the court issues and coaching mishaps aside, he’s one of the greatest basketball players of all time and sells IU basketball as well as anyone -

As a former player I will say that one important “born with it” aspect is the mental ability to make shots. I played with (and to some degree was) guys who would hit all the shots with perfect form in an empty gym and in practice...come game time the speed was too much, couldn’t settle the nerves and didn’t hit for percentage as a result. Maybe not at this level though, but was just a thought. -

For starters, develop an understanding of what an AD at a major university does and doesn’t do. After which, educate yourself on the vast array of athletic programs that this individual is responsible for managing then do your own research to understand the state in which Fred found these programs vs where he left them. He’s probably the most successful (and literally most decorated) ADs in IU’s history, directly responsible for completely turning around football, men’s and woman’s basketball and generating over $1B in private donations to construct or renovate. Then you might want to dive into the handful of incrediblely innovative social and academic programs he created like the student bill of rights and sexual violence policy that put IU on a different level than it’s peers. IU’s athletic graduation rates went from 77%-91% during his tenure. All this with zero major violations. You’re arguement was his “misses” were greater than his wins and his President’s Medal of Excellence (The only other ones McRobbie ever handed out to the athletic dept was to HOFs Billingsly and Yeagley) should tell you otherwise. -

The only difference I see is the absence (mostly) of the “done deal” talk and flight tracker nonsense. We’ll see what happens but if something isn’t announced soon my guess is the next IU coach is coming out of the NCAA tournament and not Boston -

I’ll never forgive him if Stevens doesn’t come to IU. After the Donovan debacle and four years of archie-ocrity, my heart and fandom can’t take another let down -
It depends on who they schedule. Clemson was their only non cupcake non con game this season. I have to imagine they schedule some ranked opponents which would almost definitely be losses with the way they were playing early on. They also wouldn’t get 5 of the top 6 BigTen teams once...to me that’s the most telling data point. The only top half conference opponent they played was Ohio St.
-
Purdue had the easiest schedule in the conference (playing Michigan, Iowa, & Illinois once along with Wisconsin at home only). In a normal season they get what? 3 or 4 more games at most which means they’d have to win all of them to stay off the standard 19-21 win bubble. There isn’t a more overrated team in the tournament.

Indiana isn’t paying the $10M so that’s sort of irrelevant unless said boosters are also hand delivering “the guy”. We’ll see how it pans out but I’m not as confident as most seem to be that a home run hire is in the bag. As for Stevens; he said he wasn’t quitting so our only hope is that Ainge informs him he’s getting fired but that sounds insane given they just extended him a year ago.
