Whatever man, I guess 2 pts a game while shooting 25% and a 1 for 1 assist to turnover ratio is “a great talent”....or you just don’t know what you’re talking about. Being highly successful and rated in high school doesn’t make you a great college talent or have you already forgotten about Hanner Perea?

Dude chill. Great Talent? Check his stats...they don’t lie. He was a mediocre backup player on a very very bad Kentucky team.

We also don’t know if he took anything to go to Kentucky. He’s been a bust but he was very regarded out of HS. If I’m gonna be cool with an instate kid who spurned IU for Kentucky, transfering here it needs to be a All BigTen First Team lock. Brooks doesn’t deserve a scholarship at IU and there are better options in the portal than him.

Has anyone seem a write up of what Thad’s role will be? I’ve only seen the vague “will help out the men’s bball program”. He was a hell of a recruiter at OSU so I’m hoping he’s focusing on that end. I think this hire was Brad Stevens or bust for most fans but I think Woodson will do a tremendous job and will look to install his successor in a more planned strategic fashion, leaving this program in a much better place than when he arrived.

The problem is they will get offers and they will have to decide before IU hires a coach. This is why you don’t fire Archie when they did unless they had their guy ready to sign on the dotted line. It’s pretty rare players return. In this case we don’t have a coach so it’s mildly understandable but the timing is suspect, especially if we don’t make a quick hire. Armaan will get exploding offers and may not have the luxury of waiting to see who we hire.

They are hugely benefiting from a complete dumpter fire of a game from Oklahoma’s Manek, who I thought was supposed to be pretty good. Kruger should have sat him midway through the first half and kept him there.

This is my first time watching Oklahoma and this Austin Reeves kid is incredible. I hope this is what Lander will grow into

Gene is an absolute stand up guy. I bartended one summer at the Lonestar Steakhouse in Lafayette because I needed take a summer course at the local Ivy Tech that wasnt offered on campus. Gene would come in every Wednesday night with the same to-go order totaling $85 and tipped $100. Every reciept he got from me had a written “Go Hoosiers!!! note on it. He’d chuckle every time, chat for a minute and take off. As a college kid, that extra money meant the world to me. I’ll remember it all long as I live.

If you’re going to make assumptions about me and be condescending at least be mildly correct. If you’re familiar with any Fortune 500 CEO change, they almost always have the new CEO in line before moving on from the current. Only in extreme cases of sudden negligence/health issues would this not be the case. Do you think if Ford were to move on from Jim Farley they would fire him and start searching? Winning cures all. If they’re smart they rest their top guys and play for a better draft position. They aren’t far from being a Finals caliber team. If the team lets Brad coach, they will be successful and the fans will be back on his side

The raise talk is simply people’s way of justifying IU getting rejected. There’s zero proof to it and no one here or with ties to IU would have that info in the first place. At the end of the day it doesn’t matter. IU is not a job Brad Stevens wants. It may not be a job any top teir coach wants. I said this about the Crean firing and echoed it again when the Archie firing was eminent...you don’t fire the guy you have until you have the guy you want. Egos have run amuck within the IU top brass...I fear this will be a very humbling process.
