I only saw Ian Platteeuw mentioned one time by The Daily Hoosier and then nothing else. Watched some film and he looks like a major project. Who knows what is going on behind the scenes with this staff. They seem to be very busy with 2026 offers now. The Hawthorne news seems to be rumors right now just hope they have legs.. He would be an excellent addition and as Sunshine Pumper said would pair nicely with Sisley in the future.

Yeah you're right I got carried away on the Neoklis Avdalas train. Va Tech got a visit before the Combine and their beat writer said Avdalas was asking for 30 minutes per game and featured usage. We can't and shouldn't offer that. Who knows what is going on with Sebastian Wilkins and if he even could reclass. Maybe just maybe Hawthorne is open to the idea of competeing for minutes with Harris and Alexis. The pre-existing relationship with Coach Devries can't hurt.

N0 idea if we still have interest in him but Neoklis Avdalas is visiting Virginia Tech this weekend. So maybe the college route is still an option for him. Would be an interesting pick up. A 6' 8" guard/forward from Greece.

I would take Neoklis Avdalas and Sebastian Wilkins over Goode and Leal. No true 5 but I guess CDD doesn't want one.

I agree 100% was hoping for a splash or another big. I just checked 4 different mock drafts and none of them had Neoklis Avdalis going in the first 2 rounds. Maybe there is enough NIL left to lure him to Bloomington. Now that would be a SPLASH.

Why do we always have to have a roster with a fatal flaw? 23-24--not enough guards-X goes down and we have to play Cupps and we suck 24-25-horrible roster construction/guys chasing a bag 25-26- was really excited early, getting guys that fit together, shooters , solid point guards, guys with something to prove. But then we stop recruiting any size and talk about bringing back Goode and Leal instead. Opposing coaches with any kind of post presence have got to be salivating at the thought of abusing Bailey in the post. Then you have the chance for foul trouble and injury and we are really screwed. Do not understand the plan and have gone from optimism and high hopes to confusion and pessimism. one more decent big and we are good to go.

If we are done with the transfer portal as someone on here stated then maybe we look at some high school de-commits or guys withdrawing from the NBA draft for our last roster spot. Nothing against Anthony Leal but I hope those rumors are not true. Leo Curtis- decommit from Arizona State-guess several other programs involved Chol Machot-7'0" decommit from Mississippi State- spent one year in the juco ranks Aleksa Vlajic-6'10" decommit from Fordham=originally from Serbia played one year of hs ball in the US. Thomas Sorber -in the draft from Georgetown maybe Kenny has a connection would be absolute best case scenario.

I know we are beating a dead horse on whether we need another big or not BUT the thing that concerns me is foul trouble. With just Bailey, Alexis, and Harris for our 5 spot we could get small in a hurry and I believe I read somewhere that both Alexis and Harris are foul prone(see Malik Reneau). So one more big body just makes so much sense.

Upon further reflection I think we should take Josh Harris before he visits Miami and they play the stay at home card. Then just sit on the other scholarship and be patient. Might be more de-commits, maybe Baba stops slow playing and realizes the opportunity to be a Hoosier is too good to pass up, maybe Federico drops his asking price. maybe there are other European mystery bigs in play, maybe someone withdraws from the draft that we like(Neoklis Avdalis). Maybe Luke was just playin and he doesn't get his waver and we have 2 scholarships. We got this.

My big fear is how we would match up with Purdue and all of their bigs. I think TKR, Cluff and Jacobson would dominate and score at will against our current roster.

So are we out on Federico, Payne, and Curtis or just no visits this weekend like Rabby said. If Luke doesn't get the waiver then we go with a freshman or the guy from Greece (best case scenario)? Wouldn't be upset with Josh Harris and a big.
