I'd say sell Rancik on the Michigan model with him in the Lindeborg role, Sherrell as Morez Johnson, Samet as Mara and Trent as Will Tchetter Go hard after Jake Hall- he is your shooter and starting 2 guard PG-Burton/Moody SG-Hall/Harris SF-Rancik/Mustaf PF-Sherrell/Trent C-Samet Depth-Karvala/Manhertz Would still have two schollies for whatever Coach and Carr want Lots of options with that group.

I apologize up front for this waiting on commits ramble but it is frustrating to see update after update of us linked with guards and never any contact with bigs. Even Coach Adragna's portal tracker only has 3 or 4 centers listed. Coach Devries has gone through a year of the Big Ten and knows we need size and rebounding and rim protectors. When the portal opened I tried to track all of the big guys that entered and as of today see 18-20 guys that would be work in various combinations because you really need at least 3 for rotation purposes. And you also have young athletic 6'8"/6'9" guys like Adlan Elamin, Elyjah Freeman, Mouhamed Camara , Bryson Tiller that you could add to the mix. The only reason I can think of for this lack of interest is maybe we have a legitimate shot at one of the international bigs. Also does anyone think Chol Machot would be a viable option to pair with Aiden Sherrell?

OK, I'll play along what is this all about? Flying to Belgrade in the middle of portal season. Could we actually be getting an international big? Maybe Luigi Suigo or Lazar Stojkovic? This is interesting would sure like to know more.

Watched the videos of him and to my untrained eye he looks pretty raw. In the Louisville intro video he says he has been playing basketball since he was a young kid so he is not brand new to the sport. He is a great shot blocker, rim runner with some post moves . He actually shot 37.5 percent from three in the NBA Academy developmental league in Senegal. Unfortunately all of the video is from that academy so hard to know how much he has improved with a years worth of coaching at Louisville. I would think Thomas Carr would have a very good idea if he is worth the risk. another possibilty I suppose.

Just dug into him a little and see that North Carolina and Kansas are starting to show interest. I say sign him now and pair him with Hines in the middle. Add this crew to Sisley and one pick any one holdover and the 3 freshmen and lets go.

yes sir, Decker, Bizjack, and Fru do nothing for me. I am really hoping the player George Lettice is talking about is Stefan Vaaks. Now that would excite me. But we absolutely have to have a top flight point guard and center and spend what is necessary to get them and then build around them with the rest of your NIL. then guys like Kwame Evans make sense.

I can't wait to see the look on TKR's face when he slams into Tobe Awaka and he doesn't move an inch.

Mr. real Tom Crean seems to feel Flory Bidunga is going to be a Hoosier. I would take him or Sayon Keita in the post, Alex Wilkins at the point, Stefan Vaaks at the two, Paulius Murausksas and Desean Goode at the forward spots for my starting 5. Add Anton Bonke or Chol Machot as backup bigs and Daquan Davis as your backup point guard. And hope Sisley Dorn and Prince could contribute. Karvala, Manhertz and Acimovic as developmental guys.

Ok, check out Alex Wilkins from Furman. 6'5" freshman who can shoot defend and distribute. Played well against U Conn. Won a state championship in high school. Would have 3 years of eligibility. Pair him with Daquan Davis and we are set at point guard. Let us know what you think please.

From that group I like Stefan Vaaks and Desean Goode. I am just not seeing any point guards that move the needle yet The Iowa State-Kentucky game perfectly illustrates the importance of having a stud/dawg point guard. With Tamin Lipsey running the show the Cyclones were a well oiled machine. Kentucky on the other hand had Aberdeen playing out of position trying to run things and could not make it work. We need a quality point guard to make everyone else better. Someone who can defend, distribute and score. It is early and so hopefully that guy enters the portal at some point but I don't see anyone now Not sold on Colby Garland or Jalen Haralsen. Maybe we go the international route but I have no clue who is available there. Center is obviously another position of need and it appears there may be several options there if rumors are true. Guys like Flory Bidunga, Owen Freeman, Mustapha Thiam. Massamba Diop and the internationals Luigi Suigo and Sayon Keita. Throw a bag at one of those guys and we are set at a position of real need. Time will tell. If more coaching changes occur like Jaylen Carey and Amari Evans from Tennessee and Adlan Elamin from Utah State. Anyone know what happened with the decommit from Wake Forrest, Quinten Coleman is he still in play? For me it is a hard pass on Kwame Evans and Miika Murriinen. Finally I am still really intriqued by Daquan Davis who has entered the portal from Providence That kid is a dawg and a leader and would be a long shot to fill the point guard role. Kenny has to know him and he might come cheap.

Yeah, I doubt it happens but Daquan Davis is an alpha and a warrior. He is the leader who would get on guys if they weren't giving 100%. Would love to have him as a Hoosier.
