On 3rd and 11 with 4 minutes left IU took a delay of game. I would love to know if Cignetti purposefully didn't burn a time out in the moment to save the 5 yards, calculating the unlikelihood of marking the 1st down and the more likely need for the time out on PSU's possession. That became a pivotal non use of that time out, saving 40 seconds. IU scored with 36 seconds left. Was it lucky mistake or next next level clock management?

Thanks for posting. I was looking for a clip of this. It might have been my favorite IU possession in the last 8 yrs. -
Biggest game in IU football program history? I will just leave this here.
-
Not to mention,"biggest game in program history?" It would have been no less hyperbole if the tweet read, " Luke Goode back in Champaign with a cool down workout after solving the Gaza crisis, the Ukraine invasion and the truth behind the JFK assassination. And the backwards shorts is either akin to the upside down distress flag suggesting UI is in danger this weekend or he has a front butt he is trying to cover up.

My little Mendoza isn't close to being an arm but I've been told it has nice touch. -
LOL, the guy would call his grandmother a stanky hoe, if it got him clicks.
-
Could be, still doesn't make him a good guy.
-
I mean, is he really? Don't know him personally and I'm not saying he is a bad guy, but does a good guy surround himself with yes men and fire those that dare disagree? Does a good guy mock a large portion of the fan base? Does a good guy doing a half assed job proclaim himself "King of Indiana?" Does a good guy collect million yet refuse to go out and do his job on the recruiting trail? From afar he looks more like an entitled lazy @$$ with a fragile ego, not a horrible human, but far from a good guy.

Back to what little can be parsed out from these exhibition games through twitter posts and 10 second clips. My biggest and maybe only takeaway is that mid-game/halftime adjustments just became legal again in Bloomington.

Sorry, had to do it.

Wow, how bad do you have to be to be the fourth string center on a team were you would be the only center listed?
-
Wanted to make sure he was doing a goode thing and not a greate thing.

A senior speech by Anthony Leal is now a tradition, third only to the candy striped warm ups and Martha the Mop Lady singing "Indiana, Our Indiana."

Sure he's a great 10-12 guy, but if Leal rockets up the depth chart to getting significant minutes, it means you are not a "big time" P4 school, at least in that current season. -

If you add just Leal they go from 38 to 28. Kinda shows the uselessness of such rankings.Though if Leal gets his extra, extra year he should definitely take a copy of the before and after Torvik ranking into his NIL discussions. -

Do you not consider that a valid concern? If he really was MW's boy, is there no concern he could be a discontented voice in the locker room? If he comes back with a lesser role and lesser NIL deal does that lead to a level of resentment? I'm sure CDDV will or has vetted the situation, but Leal probably lands near the bottom of the depth chart so not sure how much he will help. The phrase, "it only takes one bad apple to ruin the bunch" comes to mind. I am indifferent to Leal's return but don't think questioning it is solely sour grapes about his Senior Night speech gaffe. -

I heard somewhere he landed the part in a Broadway play. He is playing Lucius Best/Frozone in The Incredibles. -

I'm currently taking internet Muay Thai and hope to be tough enough to allow me to add my area code to my avatar in about a month. I'll stay away from the mean streets of discord until then, wouldn't want to run into the likes of the Destroyers or Gramercy Riffs. -

Any ideas what to title his new thread to get focussed discussion of portal players with IU interest? Would something like "Overpaying mid major talent and the horrors of not being ranked in the preseason top 25," work? Or would that likely attract discussion of slow coaching staff construction and favorite Bloomington eateries? -

Are we still doing the roster construction/NIL melodramatic histrionics thing today? Asking for a friend -

Reminds me a bit of the 2013 Syracuse team that had 1 guy over 6'9 but their guard and wing length just confounded IU. Hopefully IU can play at a similar level defensively minus the march up zone. -

So you just want some sham job to pay them an exorbitant salary so you can pretend that they are playing for the school for the love of the university or go back to the exploitative indentured servitude that the NCAA and university imposed upon student athletes while raking in billions. You find it more just that some athletes had a hard time paying for clothes or trips home or even food so that the schools could just pocket that extra $10M they earn off the athletes? Big changes are needed, but the old system was far more unjust. Spoiler: Little Chinese kids don't make your clothes for $1.27 a day for the love of the company either. -
