I put three quarters in the slot -- so we should be good to go for a few hours. Someone may need to check after that ...

We are shooting 90% as a team from the FT line. Made 36 of 40 in our two games. Don't necessarily expect to continue at that pace, but wow -- what a difference from years past. HATE leaving free points out there ...

I think Chumbawumba said it best -- both about IU football and the BTB site ... We get knocked down But we get back up again You're never gonna keep us down What a wild ride yesterday. I had at least three heart attacks during that game. I'm still pretty sure Joel Klatt and I we were watching different games. When we were up 20-7 early in the third -- he said we were on the verge of blowing them out. I couldn't figure what he was watching. We scored 10 points off two lucky turnovers and both lines were having issues -- we were struggling to protect 'Nando and were struggling to get pressure on Grunkemeyer. We were NEVER on the verge of a blowout. Are we a championship team? I still don't know. But I do know THAT'S the type of game championship teams win -- when you're not playing your best and are battling injuries.

I’m on vacation with my family, and my brother has “Gameday” on — Saban might just have the worst dye-job ever done. He looks ridiculous. He should sue his hair person for malpractice!

Still a little surreal to me that we're two touchdown-plus favorites over the Nits in Happy Valley, when we're 2-25 against them overall -- with both wins in B-town. This was the country's No. 2 preseason team. My former boss is a PSU grad and emailed me saying he thought the spread wasn't enough -- that he didn't think his boys could stay within 3 TDs of us. After nearly two-plus seasons of this wonderful football ride, I don't think skeptical is the right word. I wouldn't say I'm skeptical, but to used a hoary cliche -- I just don't like to count our chickens before they're hatched. So, while I'm expecting us to win -- if somehow we don't, it might not surprise me all that much. This is till Penn State and they'll still have a stadium full of 106,000 hostile fans.
