Juwan Morgan RETURNING For Senior Season
LamarCheeks replied to Cheaney40's topic in Indiana Men's Basketball
Does the timing seem kind of strange on this? I've read name after name after name of draft-eligible players declare for the NBA and hire or not hire agents. And have read name after name of players who were transferring. All that time, nothing from B-Town. So I thought we were good to go. With that said, what's the Crystal Ball on this? I'm saying 85 percent he comes back. -
FWIW, the Pacers won three of four from the LeBrons in the regular season.

(2018) SG Romeo Langford - INDIANA HOOSIERS

This girl was happy to hear of all the positive Hoosier developments today. And she wishes everyone a Happy National Pet Day! -
It just so happens that on the NBA's final night, there are two teams tied for the last open playoff spot. And they're playing each other. And they're now in overtime. Who is the NBA's script writer?

(2018) SG Romeo Langford - INDIANA HOOSIERS

My prediction: Between now and April 30, there will be at least a half-dozen times when some itty-bitty piece of info (true or not) gets out that has everyone convinced he's going to Vandy, and there's a full-fleged panic attack here; and there will be at least a half-dozen times when some itty-bitty piece of info (true or not) gets out that has everyone convinced he's going to Kansas, and there's a full-fleged panic attack here. -
Count me in -- please.

It's almost as exciting as when we all learned Billy Donovan was gonna be our next coach! -

I guess I'd like a PM, too. Thanks. -
This was on ESPN.com today. Didn't really learn anything new, other than the writer was granted a personal interview with Knight after he had shut the student paper out for years. ... My fear always was that Knight would hang on for a few more years, then go to the administration and say, "OK, I'm retiring and Patrick's gonna take over." ... Now, THAT would've been ugly. As a side note, I'm really pissed that ESPN is not showing the Knight 30 for 30 on a regular channel. They're showing it on a special new pay channel. Jeezus, that's as bad as the B1G network requiring a subscription on top of a subscription to watch sporting events (BTN Plus). http://www.espn.com/mens-college-basketball/story/_/id/23017830/bob-knight-indiana-hoosiers-firing-lesson-college-coaches

I read the Detroit Free Press story last night and boy, is it disturbing. There needs to be some massive housecleaning at MSU, in my opinion. When the alleged victim went to report the incident to the MSU Counseling Center, they were very helpful -- until they learned she claimed to be raped by basketball players. Then, things really turned. It was made clear to her "that if she chose to notify the police, she faced an uphill battle that would create anxiety and unwanted media attention and publicity as had happened with many other female students who were sexually assaulted by well-known athletes.” That's despicable. ... Tom Izzo has claimed all along he wants to be part of the healing process. At this point, I think him stepping down would be a big first step in that process. If the woman was coerced and became too afraid to report the alleged crime, where did that intimidation come from? If not Izzo, it had to come from someone within the athletic or basketball program. On a sidebar related to IU, I still think how Steve Alford handled the Pierre Pierce issue might have cost him the IU job. Unless Fred Glass was creating a smokescreen, in his news conference announcing the firing of Creen, his checklist on hiring a new coach sure seemed like a beckoning to Alford to come on home. But I think there was such a backlash about his conduct, I think Glass decided to go in another direction. I could be wrong, but I think that was a big part of it.

This whole thing has drawn on so long, I can honestly say I think I'm starting to suffer from a little bit of Romeo fatigue. At this point, I really don't care where he goes. As long as it's not Kansas or Vanderbilt, it really doesn't matter to me which school he selects. -

Hell, I could've told you that Romeo would be announcing his decision anytime after Friday -- and I don't know sh-t from shinola! -

Why should they be any different from us? ... Many on here are accusing Bryce Drew of dirty tricks with seemingly no evidence or proof. It's just part of the game of recruiting. -

So, since we all pretty much agree now that he's going to Kansas, we don't need to write anything further until he makes that official, correct? -

Hmmm ... two weeks from yesterday is IU Day. What a perfect occasion for a young, uber-talented, uncommitted basketball player with a Shakespearean name who hails from the southern part of the state to finally pick a school! -

If Romeo won't announce his choice for two -- possibly three -- more weeks, how will we keep this thread going? After 550-plus pages of speculation and conjecture, we're bound to run out, aren't we?. ... Oh, wait -- nevermind! -
Who's Declaring/Transferring Around NCAA 2018
LamarCheeks replied to HoosierCoop's topic in Indiana Men's Basketball
I think when he was a young boy, he used to pretend that he was Hannah Montana's little brother. -
I read a story recently that said if Tom Jurich couldn't get Pitino to Louisville, his second choice was Hofstra's coach -- a fella named Jay Wright. Can you imagine the stinkhole Louisville would've avoided if he had just made that hire! ... That is, of course, presuming that Wright is relatively clean, which he seems to be. (I say "relatively" because you just don't know about anybody anymore. But unless I've missed something, I haven't seen Wright's name associated with any sleaziness).
