  1. I believe he was in attendance to see us get beat down by Fort Wayne
  2. Rightfully so, but I'm guessing we'll see a heavy dose of Oladipo & Gordon All-Star weekend coverage on IU's social media accounts to further boost the brand.
  3. These two sentences do not go together... "I think Indiana has helped its chances this year and even though the Hoosiers appear to have possibly slipped some..." "Wish I had more, but things are pretty quiet right now and I’ve not heard any hot rumors of late regarding him." Maybe he's been talking to Drewfus again. Point being that if it's been quiet lately, how can he surmise that the Hoosiers have "possibly slipped some."
  4. Sectional Regional (sweet 16 and Elite 8) Semi-State (Final 4) State Championship
  5. If Vandy is already oversigned for Romeo, how in the hell are they going to add EJ Montgomery, too? Here's another kid they're trying to reclassify to 2018. Blake Hinson (6'7" 230lbs PF from Bel Aire, KS) is currently ranked 134 in 247 Composite. https://basketballrecruiting.rivals.com/news/junior-blake-hinson-turns-full-attention-to-future-in-basketball IMO, this feels like Drew is trying to cash in on this recruiting class and get the hell outta dodge to the next job.
  6. Below is from an article by Zags regarding the 2019 USA event at the Final Four this year. I saw mention of Keion in another thread, but this adds Matthew Hurt and Trayce Jackson-Davis to the event that IU is in contact with. Among the top Class of 2019 players invited were Cole Anthony of Archbishop Molloy (N.Y.), Bryan Antoine and Scottie Lewis of Ranney (N.J.), Armando Bacot of Trinity Episcopal (VA), Keion Brooks of North Side (IN), Vern Carey of University School (FL), Tyger Campbell of La Lumiere (IN), Josh Green of IMG Academy (FL), Matthew Hurt of John Marshall (MN), Trayce Jackson-Davis of Center Grove (IN), Patrick McCaffery of West High (IA), Mark Watts of Old Redford Academy (MI) and Romeo Weems of New Haven (MI), sources said. The top players have already received invitations and the NCAA will provide hotel accommodations and plane tickets, sources said.
  7. Timehop reminded me this morning that 5 years ago today, IU beat Purdue by 37 points at Mackey Arena. 97-60 IU was 19-2, Purdue 11-10
  8. I think I got my ex-MSU scumbag PGs mixed up. Appling is currently in prison for weapons charges. Travis Walton is the aforementioned Clippers asst coach. thanks for the assist!
  9. Two b-ball players were named in that report. Adrien Payne and Keith Appling. Payne was released from the Magic’s G-League team. Appling was put on administrative leave as Asst Coach on Clippers’ G-League team. This doesn’t seem over yet..
  10. Zags tweeted that Bill Self & Jerrance Howard will be at Romeo's game tonight
  11. I couldn't even finish it. The arrogance of Vandy bball fans is very comical.
  12. Didn't Thomas Bryant announce on ESPN during their HS National tournament? I can't remember exactly...
  13. ESPN Insider has a new article predicting where the remaining 2018 5 Stars will commit to. Romeo Langford (No. 5) Not a ton has changed for Langford since the fall. He took his official visits to Vanderbilt, Indiana and Kansas in September and October, but the plan was always to wait until the late signing period to make a decision. Vanderbilt had momentum coming out of the fall, especially after landing five-star prospects Darius Garland and Simi Shittu, but some of the recent buzz has centered around Langford staying home and playing for the Hoosiers. There are still some twists and turns ahead in this one. Prediction: Indiana Confidence level: 45 percent Others in the mix: Vanderbilt, Kansas
  14. Zags doubled-down in the next tweet and said Archie Miller was going to be in attendance. IU plays Friday night, too, so not sure how he's going to pull this off.
  15. I found this in an article on CBS Sports regarding McKinley Wright. He looks to be a good one. https://www.cbssports.com/college-basketball/news/freshman-of-the-week-colorados-mckinley-wright-edges-out-oklahomas-trae-young/ Following Arizona's loss to Colorado, Sean Miller said: "McKinley Wright is one of the most impressive guards we have faced. My brother recruited him and he must be one of the dumbest coaches in college basketball to not have him as part of his program."
  16. he’s averaging 16/4/4 in 4 games thus far.
  17. Really...? Joe Rexrode‏Verified account @joerexrode 5m5 minutes ago Interesting. Darius Garland said UCLA, not Indiana, finished second.
  18. Evan Daniels‏Verified account @EvanDaniels9m9 minutes ago More Evan Daniels Retweeted Evan Daniels At the request of Darius Garland & his father, we'll run Darius' commitment story once he commits. Winston Garland: "He hasn't talked to any of the coaches yet." Maybe Archie has the same silver tongue that Calipari has (i.e. Terrence Jones commitment)
  19. You're right. Two prime examples last year.... 5* MJ Walker had 1 correct pick for FSU by someone who doesn't predict anymore. Kevin Knox was 86% Duke, 14% UNC and ended up choosing Kentucky. nevermind.......
  20. Jerry also sent follow-up tweet... Jerry Meyer‏ @jerrymeyer2473m3 minutes ago More Enough intel has pushed me back to Vanderbilt in the Crystal Ball for Darius Garland. Gut also sees it as tough for him to leave Nashville.
  21. Jerry Meyer switched his CB to Vandy
  22. There are a few ESPN family games on tomorrow, so it COULD be halftime or pre/postgame on one of those broadcasts. Monday is an option, too.
  23. Dead period ends 11/9, so Archie could visit first thing Friday morning and hightail it back to Bloomington for the game. I know that may be a stretch, but it could be an option (or, the plan..?)...
