So you can take Akinjo, Duke, Devoe off of the board. Only people left who can commit at anytime is Dort, Garland, Romeo, Brown and Forrester.

Maybe he is waiting to do it on August 31 here on campus, maybe even on gameday for the IU-OSU game.

He is going to visit in September at some point but would be nice to have him here for Hysteria on 10/21

It's just another instance of Crean asking a member of the staff to do something, than after it's done, he decided his way would be better. As we saw in the game Crean's way was not very good against Syracuse.

Boy do I have a story for you about the game plan for that game. I would say you wouldn't believe it but after 8 years with Crean you wouldn't be surprised.

I think this is very telling from what I know.

I have no idea about rivals or any other schools but I know for sure we pushed hard on the day that Hunter and Anderson committed to get RP to commit also. It's known that Bruiser called and tried to get him to pull the trigger. I think that we are still in contact with him yes, but I'm also pretty sure that Archie has been in contact with Duke, Dort and Devoe more often. All of this is my opinion mixed if with what I have been told.

I'm not worried about someone questioning what I know, I live this. I just liked this board the best when I started posting and trying to give everyone a different take. But once the season gets going I won't be around near as much so just trying to enjoy it now. It's all good.

Actually you would be surprised. Archie has listened to the staff a lot more than I ever saw Crean listen to his assistants. The staff member just said he thought there were better options at PG than RP in this class. But also understands that you should take a top 100 kid in the state if he wants to come here. Just don't be surprised if you see them recruiting a PG in next years class.

I don't think he would tell just any fan this but I was trying to share what I was told about him. I should probably just keep that info to direct messages or myself

I agree with you I'm not 100% sold either. I have only seen him at the IU camp but I would gladly take Devoe or Duke. I love that he is a in state kid and glad he won't be going to another big ten school just IMO not sure he contributes the next two years and I hope I'm wrong. But I do know a member of the staff who thinks the same thing because we have talked about it.

Dakich will be doing the homer broadcast. Just not sure if he will be a homer for IU or OSU

I have not made it over for a practice yet but intend on doing so very soon. But a friend who has been to a few said that Ricky Brookins is getting a lot of carries with the 1st team. Does this sound right?

An interesting piece I took from chat last night was that Brian Snow said we will open the season with Indiana State. So that is some news we didn't know yet.

He is without a doubt a priority for this staff. They really like him. I'm going to go out on a limb and say they want him more than Watford. I think he will be a Hoosier. Double D is his dad but I don't think he lives around here. I'm pretty sure he is raised by his mom and step dad who is a former NFL player. I'm guessing someone from the Greenwood area on here can tell more about that.

That can be deceiving with the area codes. My in-laws bought several tickets for the OSU game and they live in Bloomington but they are huge OSU fans and bought tickets for lots of friends coming to the game from Ohio.
