Theroretically speaking,.....in the grand scheme of things, when would it be in Stevens best interest to make it known that he is accepting the IU job? Or, does he just wait it out, like any other potential coach would, till the final buzzer sounds and IU is finally eliminated? I mean, if he does actually take it, he needs to figure out who he wants to keep and go out and get. You would think some of this would factor in. I don't know.

Chris, I’ve said it before, but there has to be groups specifically in charge of putting out specific smokescreens both good and bad, especially if people were potentially told to keep quiet. It’s getting so it’s hard to figure out who to believe or not to believe. The quiet is both encouraging and deafening at the same time!!!! Lol

ANYONE who has an enjoyable, solid, good paying job that they could easily retire from would ABSOLUTELY not show their hand in this instance. Look, I know the odds of landing Stevens is low, but that’s it. It’s low, but not zero. Who knows,….. 4 years ago the word was Stevens was super close to taking the IU job, but as we all know things changed after a supposed vote. Or, whether it truly was “not the right time” or “the meeting”, where Brad’s wife was apparently offended/pissed off by comments some board members/donors made. I tend to lean on the fact that I think Dolson is doing much better job at keeping this whole thing a guessing game. There’s obviously secrecy and most likely smokescreen after smokescreen and I wouldn’t put it past a few “moles” posing as insiders. I want Brad Stevens at IU, but I’m absolutely ok if, in the end,…. it’s not him too. Now, we continue to wait! GO, IU!!!’

……I truly think there are smoke screens from some of these sources. I mean all you guys have had great contacts, but this hire is a big one. Not even knowing if you’re a potential smokescreen, is crazy.
