I was at church yesterday and overheard a couple friends of mine talking about the coaching search. I walked up and they asked what I thought and I told the I still think it’s Stevens. One guy rolled his eyes and shook his head and the other guy (IU grad and local doctor in our home town) looked surprised and said, “Huh, why do you think that?”

Am I one of a few on here wearing rose colored glasses for Stevens? I honestly can’t even focus on any other candidate until he’s either 100% “the one” or officially ruled out. There’s nothing wrong with this mindset for all you pessimists. I guess the reason why I’m so comfortable in this coaching search is because I HAVE 100% confidence that Dolson’s going to bring in a great haul in Stevens or someone else with a top notch resume that we will all love. There’s just something about this search that feels different and different in a positive way that we have never seen the likes of. jmo

…..if Few’s agent has been pokin around, could he be a dark horse? He’s a heck of a coach, but gettin’ close to bein’ “long in the tooth”! I feel the BIGTen is sitting pretty at the top with sooo many perks. Any team in the BIGTen will benefit because of the huge revenue and exposure. That being said, IU is sittin’ pretty for the first time in a long time. Some of these conferences that constantly have awesome teams, come NCAA tournament time, potentially have amazing coaches who would love to play at IU and the BIGTen.

…….I’ve been a believer and optimistic since the get go on Brad Stevens. It’s been no secret. I’m fully prepared to accept if it’s not him because I have full faith in Dolson and his eventual choice. There are some on here that still emphatically believe, 100% it won’t be him. To each his own. I have not, nor will I belittle posters for their beliefs one way or another as some continue to do. IF, Stevens has been Dolson’s guy all along, the powers that be have done a masterful job at keeping this locked down. If not, those powers that be also did a masterful job disguising it, too. Just believe, is all I have to say. We are in great position with the AD, President and boosters to finally be attractive enough to make and land a great coach no matter what happens. This definitely won’t be a thud hire. Go IU!

Good grief, don’t get me going! lol I’ve been a proud girl dad of two beautiful daughters for 30 years now. I have two wonderful granddaughters, one grandson and a 3rd granddaughter, due in May. My wife and I have been so blessed with our daughters and grandchildren. We are so thankful they are live no more than 30 minutes away. Our lives totally revolve around them. “Papaw” is just putty in those babies hands! Sorry, got off of IU, but man,…. If you’re able to and your children have grown up, be a part of those grandbabies lives as much as possible! Time goes by soooo fast. ……back to the topic on hand. Go IU! My choices are…. #1.
