Good bounce back win. I agree with most of you..don't overlook ANYONE in conference play. But..if we had somehow lost this game..glad they won with ease. Never apologzie for winning! 1) Some may argue the Griesel kid being out played a factor..but IU was without JHS. Evens out. 2) Trayce is playing like a national player of the year. Right now it's between him and Edey. It is early. 3) I'm not surprised X didn't play as well. I hate to say this but I think that's who he is. I remember how off he looked against Morehead State. A week later he showed up against Xavier and then UNC. He will be fine. 4) Gallo and Scoop were awesome! Just need them to do half of that on the road. If Jalen is out long these next two games, those two have to step up. 5) Malik will be fine but he's going through a bit of a phase. He's got to limit his fouls. I love his aggressiveness. 6) B1G refs..it's getting bad. Good for Woody for speaking up during the game. I was surprised how calm he was during the UNC game. It's been awful the last 3 games. 7) Last night if you take Kopp out IU was 10 of 21 (48%) from 3. Saturday they were like 1 of 16 (6%). They have to start being somewhere in the middle of the 30s... they are so capable. No such thing as a must win in December. I can take an IU loss Saturday IF they play hard for 40 minutes. Don't get Rutgers'd. I think Arizona is a very good team. Kind of like us, they've played well outside of one game. I think it will come down to the last couple of minutes. Just play hard and it'll all work out. IU belongs in games like this. Kudos to Woody for scheduling this kind of game. I feel all our coaches since Knight have been afraid of these kind of games for the most part.

Finally finished the rest of the game.. 1) Really thought IU was going to take off when they took the lead early in the 2nd half. 2) I'm not hitting the panic button. It's pathetic they played like this and scored only 48 points. But, I could tell once I heard JHS was out and that Mulcahy was playing that was a plus for them and a minus for us. 3) Pikiell has built a great culture at Rutgers. I can't stand them like Wisconsin. I hate their style of play. Indiana has to figure out how to beat them, especially after a big win. Note: IU Plays Purdue February 4 and Rutgers February 7..come ready this next time. 4) Literally everyone outside of Miller was terrible. Odds of that happening again are very slim. Indiana was very very bad today. The Purple Aces of Evansville could have beaten them today with the way they played. 5) Something to chew on..X and Trayce really carried IU offensively against Xavier and UNC. The other players to really contribute were Malik against Xavier (he's been terrible the last two games) and Jalen (out today). I hate they wasted what will probably be Miller's best game of the year. But, someone else has to step up and be a consistent force on offense. We can't always play Morehead State and Jackson State... 6) Not bashing Race but I'm not surprised his numbers are going down. I never thought he was as good as the minutes he was getting. I hope he rebounds but that's not a performance you want to see from a 6th year senior. It looked like he was just moping around...and it reflected with the whole team. I know this is Trayce's team but he's #2 as far as leadership goes. He needs to wake up. Won't be a fun few days in Bloomington I'm sure. Little bit of reality hit them today. Move on to Nebraska and get ready for the big games ahead. No need to panic, but things need to be addressed. This team was pretty much perfect in November. You could not have asked for a better start. We as fans need to be happy about that while also realizing this is a marathon not a sprint. I'll take being 7-1..would have rather lost at Xavier and beaten Rutgers though..

Very disappointed. You can't have a big win and follow it by this performance. I could take a hard fought loss but this was unacceptable. That being said, it's one game. Let's rebound Wednesday and step up for two big games against Arizona and Kansas. I didn't watch as much due to being out with the family. It looked like Kopp only showed up. Indiana played as bad as they could have today. I don't see 8 of our 9 guys all playing bad as they did today. Time will tell.

Yes. He's pretty high on IU all of a sudden. Not sure if it's because of his daughter or not. I'm glad he admits he was wrong with his Woodson takes from when he was hired. I like the field of 68. I didn't know Mack was on. Not the biggest fan of him but I like hearing the perspective from a coach. A little disapointed that they/ESPN.com all start off by talking about what's wrong with UNC. How about what's right with IU!

That was so much fun last night. The whole Assembly Hall was full about 30 minutes before tip off. You could tell when you walked in how crazy the place already was! 1) I think this is a team that can win it all this year. It was more so the defense that stood out. They stopped UNC in transition which was huge. 2) I think UNC is going to be fine. Come March they'll be tough. People forget they were a bubble team before they went into Duke last year and won. 3) Trayce Jackson-Davis has to be front-runner for NPOY. If Xavier Johnson keeps playing like this in big games he could join Trayce on 1st Team All-B1G. 4) Someone said this earlier this week..feels confident for us to say IU will have a big 3 every game. It was Trayce and X but Jalen showed up big in the first half. 5) Trey Galloway is awesome. Perfect guy coming off the bench. I thought Geronimo and Tamar played really well. Malik will be fine. He missed a few under the basket. 6) Refs were horrible. Really felt IU won by 20 or something. Was this an ACC crew? I'm not saying IU didn't commit fouls but call it both ways. If you've never been to a BIG game atmosphere at Assembly Hall, do yourself a favor and go sometime. I have to think the next one will be Purdue in a few months. It was money well spent. I'm biased but I think when Indiana Basketball is rolling there is no better program in all of college basketball.

(2019) PF Trayce Jackson-Davis to INDIANA
HoosierFan1994 replied to Uspshoosier's topic in Indiana Men's Basketball
I remember thinking at the time that his commitment was going to be more valuable than Romeo's. It hasn't been easy, but it looks like Trayce has a chance to play for a special team this year. I think if he can lead IU to a B1G title at minimum, we are looking at him as one of the best in this program. -
I think this is going to be a very good game regardless of health. Bacot and TJD are going to give it all they can My keys: 1) Stop them from scoring in transition. I remember watching Davis/Love just kill teams last year in the tournament. 2) Bench mob be ready! I said it earlier, if Malik, Tamar, and JG all have an average typical game, I don't see how UNC wins. They really only go a few deep. Puff is the only one that has impressed so far. I'll be a little disapointed if UNC wins. Tells me Indiana wasn't ready to play. They have a huge advantage: Home court (IU fans and even players have waited a looooooong time for a game like this), UNC playing 3 games in 4 days (travel, 4 OTs..may not matter but IU has had more rest). I think Indiana is a superior defensive team. Deeper as well.

What a dumpster fire Louisville is..I think Kenny Payne so far is what the College hoops "experts" thought Mike Woodson was going to be.
