I give people the benefit of the doubt when circumstances have changed. 🤷‍♂️ And maybe his shooting doesn’t get better. Looks like we have more offense contributors around him now to cover that up. As long as he’s solid with the ball and keeping the defensive prowess, I can live with that. Overall his confidence seems improved so I’m hoping that pays off over the course of the season. Rob is a defensive stalwart. All of our guards did well pressuring the ball, but of all of them Rob is least likely to be beaten. Less popular opinion, his offense will be sufficient when shots start to fall. He attacks more in the half court and his ball handling seems more confident. He looked to score last night, and I’ll take that over what was happening the last two years. Yeah, he needs to push the all more like XJ and KL did. So where do we go with this when we inevitably raise our 16% 3pt shooting? As long as these guys aren’t doing hard strength sessions the day of the game, there’s really nothing he’s doing that is the primary cause of these shooting woes. Strength doesn’t translate to inaccuracy, poor form, or poor self efficacy. With the reps/shots these guys are getting up daily their mechanics and muscle memory will adapt fine regardless of their strength. Agreed! We saw Nickelback (yeah, take your shots here) around 2010 and Aaron Lewis was the most flat, disinterested front man on planet earth. Everyone around me was looking at each other like “ooook”. And fwiw, say what you want about their music, NB can put on a show. They did a 10-12 minute cover jam of Pantera in memory of Dimebag and just smoked it. To this day I’ve wondered why they never branched out that direction.
