There was a post in here shortly after the Peach Bowl win urging us as fans not to re-invent the convicts moniker for Miami... But you are how you act.

I still strongly subscribe to the prediction that Beck was going to throw a game-ending INT against Ole Miss if the ball left his hands because he looked every bit like he was going to force something. Luckily for him he decided to pull it down and run.

I hope this is as fun as he thinks it'll be.

Buffed in Prime making some reassuring statements about the matchup tonight. I know he's not a fortunate teller but it seems he knows his stuff down to the nth degree and is a student of the game. Let's hope he remains dead-on.

Anyone happen to hear anything about the tell he found on Miami's play calling? He was going to discuss on his Patreon and then take it down. I hope he just told Ponds, et al left it at that. Then he can tell everyone else after we win.

That was my thought.

I'm talking from the player's perspective. When I'd already have to swing well above my weight class to go out and compete in a normal scenario, it wouldn't get me valuable reps to get trotted out in front of a racous MSU crowd with Izzo's squad in the middle of an absolute tear and have Coen Carr dunk it off my face so hard it looks like I got a 'Wilson' tattoo on my forehead. Not to mention leaving with less confidence than I had when I arrived. A coach puts those kinds of players in when there's an opportunity for some relative success, not when there's an almost guarantee of flat getting embarrassed. Like was mentioned earlier, the coaches know what goes on in practice and if Reed Bailey is getting prime minutes in conference play, the guy behind him is likely nowhere close to being ready to surprise anyone. We don't need to see what's sitting behind him unless Incarnate Word wants a rematch.

This is what I've been waiting on to make me feel better about this game lol.

There's losing by 20 and there's losing by 35+. Getting your clock cleaned on the wrong end of a 19-0 run at Breslin isn't the best scenario for a project player becoming less of a project.
