  1. I would agree but I also know it’s easy for a coach to say that before he’s ever seen them practice on a court together. I don’t care one way or the other as long as it’s effective and it leads to wins.
  2. Last time I checked he won’t be making those decisions. Lots of time for things like that to play out.
  3. I'm just guessing on the reason but after Thomas committed and Handy transferred he started setting up visits to other schools. IU also has other DE's with visits coming up in June.
  4. Decommitted from Indiana. Likely felt he was going to find a tough time getting on the field and was being recruited over since IU is strongly in the mix with some other highly rated DE's.
  5. IU has added former Texas A&M WR Camron Buckley. He has one year to play and won't impact 2022 recruiting. https://247sports.com/Player/Camron-Buckley-80982/
  6. IU is pushing hard on him. He is keeping his recruitment extremely tight lipped.
  7. 1. Gunn 2. Taylor 3. Banks 4. Filipowski 5. Hood-Schifino (If there is an available scholarship) Other targets I like but I'm not sure how much mutual interest or real possibility is there include: Washington, Trimble, Rice, Phiilips, and Ward (yes IU made his top 8 so we'll see what happens there). I think there will be plenty of available scholarships especially if the team does well. Rob, TJD, Race, XJ, Stewart, and Kopp could all be gone and that's if their aren't any guys that leave early (this is unlikely but if someone blows up this year you never know) or transfer.
  8. Correct because in 4-1 you have 2 slots, 2 wings, and a post. Labeling positions is more for the sets that go on outside of the base offense, any transition offense, or motion entries that the team runs.
  9. Well they won’t play together more than a handful of minutes throughout the season. As for TJD being the 5 he won’t stay in the dunkers spot the entire time. The dunkers spot is referring to the weak side block. There will be plenty of sets and movements that allow him to space to the perimeter and do other things besides standing on then block. Thompson, Geronimo, and Kopp will be the 4’s 95% of the time.
  10. TJD will play the 5. Think of a guy like Robinson-Earl at Nova. He was the 5 in their 4-1 motion but still spaced out to the perimeter in pick and rolls/pops. The 5 can also get time on the perimeter in certain sets.
  11. With the other players being targeted I fully expect him to be more of a 3 in college if he comes to IU which has to be appealing to him. Not to mention his coach Ya connections that are a big help as well.
  12. I expect him to end up at IU. Could be the next kid to pull the trigger. Hopefully it's soon after his visit.
  13. TJD isn't playing the 4. He will be a 5 and Durr will be a 5. They won't play together in a 4-1 motion offense that Woodson is planning on running.
  14. He tweeted that right after retweeting about a kid Andrew Keller getting an IU offer. I don’t think this was anything more than him trying to drum up interest.
  15. If IU can poach him from UVA's backyard then IU will be even for UVA landing Kyle Guy.
  16. Maybe. It will also be interesting to see what his timeline is for committing. If he doesn't commit until close to signing day it might not be a huge factor.
  17. The official roster for the 2021-2022 season is now finally set unless something crazy happens. Woody and company have come in to Bloomington and gotten to work on improving this roster and it looks really good on paper. Let's all hope it translates to W's on the court. 1. Rob Phinisee 6'1 187 2. Khristian Lander 6'2 185 3. Xavier Johnson 6'3 200 4. Trey Galloway 6'4 210 5. Parker Stewart 6'5 200 6. Anthony Leal 6'5 210 7. Tamar Bates 6'5 180 8. Jordan Geronimo 6'6 220 9. Miller Kopp 6'7 215 10. Race Thompson 6'8 228 11. Trayce Jackson-Davis 6'9 245 12. Logan Duncomb 6'9 230 13. Michael Durr 7'0 250
  18. Duke may not be what it once was by the time he steps on campus since this might be K's last year. UNC will need to have a good year this year as well or else they could be looking at not being what they once were. The others could maybe be a problem but there are problems he could see with them as well. IU will be in a good spot with him especially once that official visit happens.
  19. He’s bigger and more athletic than Brunk. He can play better defense than Brunk and isn’t coming off of back surgery. I’ll take Durr to bang with the other bigs in the B1G because athleticism and size plays better.
  20. Michael Durr has committed to IU
  21. It’ll be Carr. Huge pickup from the portal on the offensive side of the ball.
  22. Stewart, Johnson, and Phinisee could all be gone.
  23. There’s actually several differences. Starting with athleticism, wingspan, and potential upside if healthy. Oh and player expectations. That said he may end up someplace else and this talk was all for nothing.
  24. IU wants post depth. Manley provides that and doesn’t necessarily expect to start. He’s also from Ohio so it’s closer to home. He’s just a name to watch over the next few days. IU would have to feel good about his health before they made an offer I’d have to assume.
