Not sure where the Friday announcement stuff came from but here are the coaches that I could see being announced before the tournament concludes in no order. 1. Stevens 2. Alford 3. Cheaney 4. Mack 5. Matta 6. Beilein

He wouldn’t leave until the NBA season is over. Plus they’ve been talking to him for a while I believe.

That’s why I could see an announcement being made and someone running things in Bloomington. I just thought Matta would be a home run in that department.

It’s a long shot but any chance Brad is going to take the job but wants an associate head coach to run things until the NBA season is over. So Brad hires a guy he knows and trusts that knows the B1G in Matta to run things and be his associate head coach since he’s already living in Indy. I know unlikely but just a crazy idea that his me lol

0708 over on HSN just said that Stevens is staying in the NBA. He also just said he’s done posting so that’ll be his last nugget of information.

To go with this the same coach said that Brad liked the NBA but was starting to get a little annoyed by the complaining that goes on in the NBA from people make more money than him. I’m sure you all can figure out what he meant by that. I’m sure if that was an issue a year ago I couldn’t imagine what he’s thinking now with these struggles.

From a coach that knows Brad he has said that there is only 1 job in college that Brad would ever leave the NBA for... I think everyone knows what job that is.

@Chris007 so who exactly is helping Dolson make the decision on Archie's future?

He's an Indiana guy and his teams at Nevada and UCLA both know how to shoot FT's and 3's. Maybe they could get him to hire a defensive coach on the staff and let's see what happens. I would bet things would work out better than people expect.

Well Musselman had 7 losses his second year and Alford has 9 so that's not a big difference. Nevada has also played like 10 fewer games because of the type of season it's been. I will say this. Alford's Nevada team can shoot 3's and hit FT's.

He is an improvement over Archie and I believe his career winning percentage is similar to that of Drew's.

Nope just part ways then Archie is free to do whatever he wants and so is the school.

At the end of the day IU will be fine and they have guys that battle.

Hire an IU guy. That's the one thing that IU hasn't tried. If you can't go big then try something different.
