I know we cant beat kids! Thats my point! I legitimately wanted to hear views on what everyone thinks can be done to change effort and attitude. I personally doubt the starters would even care if they sat. They looked like they wanted to anyway. -

See I watch that, and I don't see a crap game plan defensively. I see overhelping and a lazy effort to get to the shooter. That isnt on Archie. -

In no way do I think this loss was ok or fine. My point is sometimes there is only so much a coach can do with a group of kids who seem more interested in playing video games than winning a ball game. This isnt 1950 where u can beat on a kid to get ur point across so hence my question....what can a coach do with kids who have had 2 coaches that they don't wanna give tough effort for? -

So Crean couldn't get these guys to act engaged and now it seems Archie is struggling with same group. I'd like to hear what adustments a coach can make to get a group of guys to play any different than they have for 2 different coaches already. -

I'm personally thrilled all to hell that we got Archie before any other big time gig opened up and took his services. He will win here and win a lot. Not concerned at all. -

This system is obviously predicated around length and athleticism. Theoretically the opposing team will have a tough time getting off shots when we have those players in place. I'm still confident Archie gets his guys, WE get wins. -

Honestly from what ive watched, u could give this team to Coach K and they wouldn't make the tournament. Im being serious unfortunately. -

I've said it before, this team does not have the killer instinct. U can't bring it one game out of every 5 games u play and consider yourselves killers. That one game u brought it just means u musta got good sleep the night before. This team gives the impression theyd rather get the game over and head home to play video games and drink chocolate milk. -

Definitely showing our FCTC guard play with refusing to put it in to the bigs 9 times outta 10. We suck at 3's so maximize what we have which is inside play! -

We all know this team is Jekyll and Hyde. Just get the dang win even if it's ugly and by 1pt and lets move on. At this point thats all i want is a win. Im not worried about by how many anymore. Smh. -

Kids stroke reminds me of Brian Evans. I'd say we could use someone of that mold. -

A good coach gets his players to buy in regardless of the talent level. To me it is BLATANTLY obvious we keep getting better and the kids r doing just that....buying in. All the recruiting stuff aside, Archie is doing his job on the coaching front. Future recruits will see his passion. They'll come!

I mean, sometimes kids make mistakes......like picking the wrong school ;) But that's none of my business.
-
The percentage I'm worried about Archie being successful at IU........0% I think his ability to coach and recruit is kinda being overanalyzed because he just so happened to take over on a yr that the best over all recruit to come out of Indiana in some time has to make a choice in the next couple of months. We all want Romeo but I don't think Archie can be judged so quickly over Romeo alone.

May or may not have been the best way to say what I was thinking. Point being, I just see him as more of an old school type of basketball mind. Whether defense improves from current status or from Dayton times, I believe he TRIES to put defense as a higher priority than other coaches.
