Great kid and great interview. Really enjoyed talking to him. Besides Elijah Rodgers probably my favorite. -

Been awhile since anyone has talked about this kid, so in light of that if you wanna quick catch up on him go to Hoosier Huddle tomorrow or my twitter Hoosier Kris and I should have a link up at some point. -

IU is losing momentum in this one. Ole Miss, USC and some other big boys getting involved now. -

Staff has told him he will play early and often. One of the reasons he choose us. He also told me there was a ton of distrust from the WVU staff which led to us getting him so let's make sure to thank them for him as well. -

Honestly I envy you lol. I always see your post and wish I had the confidence you do lmao. The more time I get under my belt I will be more comfortable, but I get it. I have thought about making a new name but then no one would believe me so lose lose situation haha. No one really freaks out though just told to not draw attention on forums or social media. We're all human. I respect Weaver and Rabjohns and them so much more now though mainly Weaver. Rabjohns has had a few misses but his info is always legit sometimes just a teenager being a teenager. Keep up the good work though man. I appreciate the content as I'm sure others on here do as well. -

You aren't lying. I have been to literally every site IU has had and this is the only one I continue coming back to. Well besides Hoosier Huddle of course ;) I really wish we covered basketball too though. -

And to back Chris007 up, since our names are the same, mine spelled with a K, I have actually gotten a few calls about info being shared that came from trusted sources thinking it was me lol so I know his sources are good. -

I was a member of this board LONG before my journalism career. This place is what made me pursue it to begin with. You guys do great work here. I'm just a active member of this great community. Race was known for awhile, but the problem was whether he was coming this year or next so people hesitated. I do believe I heard it from Chris007 almost immediately before or after from the other guys. -

My feelings as well. And tbh there was a ton of smoke. I still can't say Albers(lol) name without laughing over that whole ordeal. -

Lol, trust me if a random 5 star called Archie today and said no way will I go to IU just wanna come visit, he says come on down. I promise ya!! Social media is a huge recruiting tool and when other kids see big names visit certain schools it helps them with their choice. BTW I appreciate the ones that seem to like my post. Journalism isn't fun when it comes to making friends. You want to post things you just can't and then have people come at you like you're making this or that up. Not fun. I'm never gonna be that guy though. Kinda sad that when I first got the job one of my first thoughts was being able to share some insight with you guys that I hear along the way. I have really liked coming here for nearly a decade now and it has only gotten better. The mods on here are awesome and the SOME of the guys on here are as well lol. I will continue posting things I feel comfortable posting. I will leave it up to you guys whether to believe it or not, but most of it would save ya 10 bucks from a subscription to some places lol. I'm a man of the people haha. -

Garland's tweet is exactly why last night happened. Trusted people just want to be the first out there so they ruin relationships. As of last night's talk and today, I can only say so much. I very much like my job writing for IU lol and would like to not turn into Albers(on the outside looking in on most situations). That is why I waited till today to say anything about last night besides a select few pms. I absolutely love this board and respect the mods here, so I will let out the few things I hear every now and then, but I promise it won't be any sources that aren't very close to the situation or that I trust. Not backpedaling on what I said just cautious. -

Garland will be at UCLA this weekend barring any last minute changes. Plans to sit down with family once he back and go from there. -

Garland was very close to announcing last night. Some even had articles written. Haven't got word on what the delay is/was, but sounds like his family wanted to be respectful to the other schools involved as well as non immediate family. Shared w a few last night, but in case it still happened didn't wanna post on the thread. Tuesday or Wednesday would be my best bet if I were a gambling man. -

Trying to message those back but my messenger will not work? Not ignoring anyone. Been having this issue for awhile. I use the website not the app. Any suggestions? -

He is ours. Perks of the new gig I guess, but have gotten some very good intel. BTW anyone else find Meyers post hilarious? Late to the party!! Haha yeah you are. Then on one comment he said it was based off old intel and some new. Proves he knew IU was the leader for awhile just strongly dislikes us. -

We all know how much HH made an impact on Darius, but what set this weekend up to be the finishing touches was the in home. Archie killed the in home and have heard it's what pushed them to the top and needed this past weekend to reaffirm how they felt. Only bad thing is I feel like people are forgetting we have a season to play. I get it though. -
(2018) SG Romeo Langford - INDIANA HOOSIERS
Yogi's Picnic Basket replied to ccgeneral's topic in Indiana Men's Basketball
When StuHoo gives us the nod at a potential title team, that means it is serious lol. I agree that we likely need both kids to do so. Getting one will be awesome, but until this season plays out I will be patient in saying if we could compete for one or not with Romeo or Darius but not both. Lucky for us, getting both looks very possible. -

I think UCLA was on he and Romeo's list as respect. Lots of connections between both families to Alford. UCLA has never been seen as much of a threat for either. UCLA is one of the "cool" schools to some and the allure of being out west will always get a kid excited. Nothing more though. If it was me, I'd choose IU, UF, UCLA, Texas and UNC or Duke for my visits just so I could travel around the U.S lol. -

Haha I would love that. I have always wanted a recruit to commit while on a visit to another school. I'm sure it's happened in football, but it would be great to see Darius do it. Also UCLA doesn't pose of a threat to me with Garland. Hand isn't a sure one and done and talk of Melo coming next year now that he is home schooled gaining all kinds of knowledge from LaVar he could reclass. -

MD is 100% right about literally everything he has said lol. You just DON'T see those quotes from a visit. A commitment yes, but not from a visit. Also the we did everything is spot on as well. Well be really disappointed if we don't get him and anyone says Archie didn't do enough. Top 10 players usually don't even consider programs in IU's position because they have been getting recruited hard for years. Jumping in with not even a year or a real game played and becoming at the worst a co favorite is impressive. I bet first thing Alford says to him though is how was IU? You see my statue there? Uggggh -

Barring any changes in my schedule I will be at the Bloomington South game. Will be there to write an article, but definitely catching the game. Hoosier Guy, would love to meet up and talk IU. I will PM closer to the date.
