    Its simple.

    1. Cal sold him hook line and sinker on being a one and done and getting him to the nba. Basically he bought the sales pitch.
    2. He can also compete for a national title at Kentucky.
    3. All IU had to offer was playing time.

    Do I think he will be a first round pick after one year? No I do not but cal is a world class salesman.

    Bo ryan had two first places in his two first years. Second and third the next two. Not saying fire archie but it doesnt always take four years. Bad finish next year would be concering imo.

    You could look at creans past up and down record to see he was a bad hire. It really was not that hard to see but fred was in love. Bennett would have had us winning the conference alot by now.

    The problem is fans always pump up players they have never seen play. IU fans do it alot and its totally unrealistic.

    To awake a sleeping giant you have to go big like kentucky did. I am not saying get a slimeball but you have to get a guy who had major success. Archie may do fine but we are not going to be competing with the dukes of the world year in and out. Thats just a fact and if we make thed tourney 75% of the time going forward i guess thats a victory now. Ive accepted that. I think being like a wisconsin is our best option.

    I always felt when brooks did not verba by January when people said he was ours we had a problem. Obviously he was holdong out for a better gig. He just needed to see what the other top 25 players did first.

    Thats how michigan gets it done. I mean the big ten doesnt really get alot of five stars. Michigan state gets the most but nothing like duke. Most big ten programs never get a five star. The two michigans indiana and ohio state are really the only ones.

    If you what fun i read a few twitter feeds. Highlights:

    1. Franklin is a lights out shooter ready to play from day one.
    2. Hunter is 100% and ready to go.
    3. We return a loaded roster and add a mcdonalds player.
    4. We didnt need brooks.

    So basically we are going to kill it next year!!!!
