  1. Although Purdue offered and recruited him last go around, they weren't ever close to getting him. I think there are going to be quite a few schools in the running this time and they aren't going to want to spend that kind of money on one player.
  2. Oswin Erhunmwunse, Providence. 6'10" center. Plus defender and rebounder but not a scorer. 6.9 ppg, 8.3 reb, 2.1 blocks.
  3. I know that. But has he even announced he’s going to the portal?
  4. Burton isn’t in the portal yet, is he?
  5. I believe the redshirt rule changed in basketball either last year or this year so that redshirts can’t play in any games.
  6. Justin McBride, James Madison. 6’7” forward. 15.3 points, 5.6 rebounds. 49 / 40 / 78
  7. Basically just a little better version of Nick Dorn....shot 43% from three over the last two years for Belmont. Takes 80% of his shots from three. Elite free throw shooter (93%). He definitely adds shooting, but like Dorn (and arguably worse than Dorn) he won't add anything else. Defensively, he was described by Knoxville's sports radio host as a statue. Doesn't rebound well. NIck Dorn had 3 blocks and 9 steals in approximately 700 minutes. Lundblade had 2 blocks and 9 steals in 1100 minutes, and that was against mid major teams.
  8. Cupps isn't in the portal. There are some IU accounts that are posting that Cupps is going into the portal and transferring to IU as an April Fool's Day joke.
  9. If he projects to be a starter I would say that IU didn't do well in the portal. Shooting guards and wings seem to be more than abundant in the portal so you should be able to nab a high quality shooting guard at a discount.
  10. I like Cooper better than Drake and with the number of players IU is going to need to fill spots, not all of them will be starters. Could help with player continuity given that he still has three years but he's not a starter at IU.
  11. Certainly wouldn't be a starter at IU. From Jeffersonville. 13.4 ppg, shot 44/36. Just a freshman so he would have three years but I certainly wouldn't call him a player that moves the needle.
  12. FWIW -- Logan Duncomb might need to win a waiver with the NCAA to be eligible. Crazy career: In 21-22, only played 9 games (mostly in the second half of the season) In 22-23, only played 9 games before ending his season due to breathing issues and underwent sinus surgery I believe. First 8 games were before Christmas, one on January 14th. NCAA rule at the time was you couldn't play more than 30% of all scheduled games and games played must be first half of the season. He would be very close on that front. 23-24, transferred to Xavier but did not play for medical reasons.. 24-25, transferred to Winthrop. Brought along slowly due to medical reasons, played in 24 games, averaged 8 minutes. 25-26, stayed at Winthrop and had a great year, 18.3 points and 8.9 rebounds. Led the nation in fouls drawn per game (9.4 per game) and averaged 8.3 free throws/game.
  13. Seems like the last couple of days the rate at which players are entering the portal has increased.
  14. Finally healthy, averaged 18 points and 9 rebounds per game this year at winthrop
  15. I did the math on my calculator and Drake earned DOMAIN ERROR NIL per minute played.
  16. Time for someone to form an intervention for Sheehey. Has to be on something if he thinks the stache was a good choice.
  17. Curtis Givens, Memphis. 6'3" guard. 9.4 pts, shot 43 / 37 / 66. Two years of eligibility left.
  18. I know that, but the time that shows on my Twitter time stamp is 11:07 PM (I'm in central time). Anyway, I'm not taking it as anything true or false, just presenting it.
  19. Take it with a grain of salt — never heard of this poster and doesn’t have many followers.
  20. 20th IMO is a very conservative estimate. He’s rated as a 94. Last year players rated at a 94 didn’t make the top 50. It’s still very early in the phase and tons of players not in yet will announce.
  21. He’s likely going to end up around 20th once everything shakes out
  22. I didn’t know that. FYI, his grandfather and uncle both played football for IU.
