  1. Alright, that's convincing enough for me! I'm back on the hope train baby! Bring on Pearl, or May, or whoever the hell isn't Woodson!
  2. This is why I'm having trouble getting my hopes up. The information came from the IU beat writer from the largest paper (or whatever you call it these days) in the state. Surely he wouldn't run with it unless he had 100% credible intel.
  3. I would LOVE to get my hopes up again, believe me, but I'm having trouble getting excited when a statement was already sent out saying he'd be back next year. Are we just ignoring that? Or, are we hoping Liam leaving and the arrogant senior day speech from Woody is enough to make them backtrack on the statement?
  4. We're turning into the Chicago Cubs of my childhood. I've been a Cub fan all of my life and that was always the motto until 2016 (thank you baby Jesus).
  5. The truth is I just got lucky. I was just scrolling and happened to notice it lol. I thought "what are the odds?!"
  6. At first I was bothered by it, but then I remembered the way Woody acted during his speech. Who knows what kind of crap he's been spewing to the team behind closed doors? He could have been using this kind of "us against everyone else," including the "non-true" fans as fuel for the team for a while. Leal may have just been regurgitating all the crap he's been fed the past few weeks.
  7. I’ve wanted to move on from Woody for a few reasons: 1) The amount of losses his teams have had by 10+ points. 2) The extremely outdated play style. Like others, I’ve always held the belief that the style doesn’t matter if you’re winning. Well, not a whole lot of winning happening. 3) The belief that he doesn’t seem to be a coach who’s going to get us to the Final Four anytime soon. 4) To build off of #3, if we aren’t going anywhere with him soon, what’s the point at his age? Why delay the inevitable? All that said, I have liked Woody. I’ve had no problem with him as a person. That has changed the second half of this season with the way he’s handled everything. Yes, he was a great player, but he’s done nothing coaching wise to entitle him to be an arrogant A-hole. Knight earned that level of respect and tolerance with his performance as a coach. Woody hasn’t.
  8. Sounds like Trilly is hearing Dusty to OSU, but he’s still trying to confirm what he’s hearing. Hopefully not.
  9. I really really really really really hope you are right.
  10. Being able to watch IU games was the one battle for which I would willingly go against my wife. How am I supposed to go into battle knowing I don’t even care if I get to watch the games anymore?
  11. I’d love to say you’re wrong, but unfortunately I think your opinion is spot on, and I’d wager most everybody here has that opinion as well. That’s what’s so maddening about all this. It’s like we’re just voiding next season before it even starts. I just don’t get it.
  12. That’s why they’re going to extend him :-).
  13. This is the only thing keeping me sane right now. The hope that there’s still some way we come out of this mess this year with Dusty lined up to be the next coach. Pipe dream I know.
  14. What hire? We're stuck with Woody unless a miracle happens.
  15. That’s really our only hope. I don’t think the administration is going to backtrack from deciding to keep him for a fourth year. Maybe he comes to his senses and realizes he is destroying his beloved basketball program.
  16. Bridge? He blew up the f*cking bridge!
  17. And he thought the hump was big this year…
  18. Maybe this will be enough to push Woody to retire. Please Lord make it happen.
  19. Yeah...he's dead. So he'd fit right in with Woody and his right hand man. Know when to hold 'em, know when to fold 'em, know when to walk away (or not, in Woody's case)....
  20. I have no idea what a skag is but this still made me lol.
  21. We cling to hope pretty damn well.
