I agree with this. However, with our resources and PearI’s fire I do think we would be competing for Final Fours right out of the gate.

Perhaps the success of the Cig hire and simultaneous departure of QB have given him better footing.

Yes. It keeps giving me hope that Brad Stevens will be the next head coach, so something is off somewhere.

And if it’s not Brad (which is most likely IMO) we’re looking at another week or a couple weeks (maybe few weeks) AFTER we lose in the BTT because our new coach will most likely be coaching in the NCAA tournament.

I just can’t see Cronin because of his buyout. Unless there is a way to reduce it.

Exactly. I would rather give a pile of cash to someone like McCollum than touch Brownell.

Same. I don’t think we should pay 16 million buyout for Cronin or 18 million for Buzz Williams, but for Oats I say pay the 18 million.

How do you feel about him vs. someone like Schertz or McCollum?

It is insane, and so is Cronin’s. Oats is 18 million and Cronin 16 million I believe.

I think we could certainly do worse, but I just don’t see us spending that much for his buyout. Oats is worth his buyout. Cronin I don’t think is.

If we’re going down this road I would rather have Schertz or McCollum.
