Yes! I'm a huge Leo fan (hence my username)! I play fingerstyle guitar myself and he's always been one of my idols. I've also had the good fortune of seeing him live a few times. Redmond and Tom Waits must have been awesome to see as well!

You are 100% correct and have reminded me that I've completely forgotten about Schertz! Screw McCollum, let's get Schertz! In fact, last year at this time, I was desperately hoping they'd fire Woody so we wouldn't miss out on May or Schertz as potential replacements. I now remember posting this last year:

I’m very torn on McCollum. If it’s not Brad, Dusty, Oats (highly unlikely), there’s part of me that’s thinking let’s roll the dice with McCollum. I have a weakness for the young coach who can be here 20+ years. However, as we all know, they absolutely can’t mess this hire up. He’s a pretty big gamble, but could also be a grand slam.

We've got like 40ish days to go, so we will be rotating daily through the candidates. Mondays are the Beard special. Agreed. He’s nowhere near my first choice, but he’s far better and proven than anyone we’ve had since Sampson. You could argue whether he’s better than Crean I suppose.

Yes I have had Old Forge also! You’re right it’s excellent. We typically stay right in Gatlinburg on the strip (easy walking to all the pancake restaurants!), then drive over to Pigeon Forge a couple times as well. We like heading down there in the fall.

My family and I visited an actual Black Rifle coffee shop in Pigeon Forge a few months ago. I had no idea they actually had brick and mortar stores until then. I agree their coffee is excellent. I can’t remember what actual brew I had but I loved it.

I just realized how long of a month/six weeks this is going to be. Normally, like when Crean and Archie were canned, it’s at the end of the season and the wait is only a couple of weeks (I think). This is going to feel like a eternity.
