Yep. After the 2027 draft 3 Cig QBs. 5 WRs and a bunch of defensive players -

I couldn’t keep myself from cheering for Mendoza if I even wanted to. And considering the Colts can’t even figure out how to tank effectively gonna guess Raiders will be relevant before the colts -
It’s amazing how quickly Notre Dame have turned themselves into THE group to dunk on. Purdue hasn’t won a Big Ten game in two seasons and Notre Dame is still more fun to make fun of.

Good for him. Watching highlights for the season I think he was better than Waffle House tbh. But generally it was pretty even. Next man up. That WR from Michigan blanking on his name has a chance to be a key piece -

Just read thru a GT message board. They knew he was transferring on the 18th. At least an insider knew but didn’t outright say it. I appreciate that. Could have caused unwanted noise. A few of them are worried that this is more of a tryout with the plan to potentially return to Indiana. -
#1 INDIANA FOOTBALL 2025 NATIONAL CHAMPIONS

Yeah my guts were twisted the whole 4th quarter. Sooo stressed. I’m not sure we are even giving the coaching staff their due for how well they outcoached Miami. We had 3 timeouts in the second half 1st - 4th and 5 completion to Becker 2nd - That kid not good enough for Miamis dive 3rd - The other kid not good enough for Miami picking off Beck 3 Second half timeout and we came out with essentially the best case scenario on each play. Miami had the same time to talk to their players and couldn’t get it done. -
Any clue what Hoovers is currently?

I’d imagine all this merch is probably 8-9 in total sales figures. You had people buying Big ten merch. Rose bowl merch and NC merch. Not to mention we got 20 million for going to the NC game. We keep 1.1 million of that. We get about 2.3 if you factor in the shares we get because of OSU and Oregon making the playoffs -
Arena football is alot different than domed stadiums. And I think anybody who’s being serious would understand that without an explanation.

Comparing pre cig numbers for context. But he’s been a higher volume passer with similar completion percentage -

How much money does the university get from all the merch people have bought? Coffers have to be fuller than ever before -

Retain who we want to retain. Send QBs to lesser programs to get reps if we want to invite them back. Could be a great formula -

Hes not as mobile as Mendoza. Probably a better passer. But who knows what Cig can do with him -

This was so clutch. We need to retain people especially successful people to keep the culture. The returning guys even if they didn’t play that much know how to do things and can help guide the new guys. -

And all eyes on Cooper Jr. if he comes back I think we have a better receiving corps and a better offensive line. -
Personally I think the 17th game should be a game played overseas for every team. And any potential 18th game should be played at a major US city without a team. At least be reaching new people or else yeah it’s just a cash grab that adds no value

Football purists will hate me. But outdoor stadiums are dumb

I still think watch parties at assembly hall is something we should consider. A cheaper option for folks who still want the tailgating option. Maybe only sell the tickets after all tickets are sold for a game so they don’t end up losing ticket revenue. I know it’s a unique thing but Not many teams deal with the problem of an alumni base 15x their stadium capacity. Honestly it would be a great option for last minute btown trips.

I think I am going to try and get Tickets for Northwestern. My sister in law is a big fan and was going to invite her down
-
I doubt it. Stuff like that I would imagine they would spend the extra money to do over the course of several offseason. Maybe non conference games.
-
Big question I have for @michigan is how red will that crowd be. If they have some early set backs against Oklahoma and Oregon that could be a very dejected fanbase looking to make a buck on tickets
-
I heard a story once when Saban called a meeting the day after winning the NC. And he started it with “There’s no nice way to put this, we are behind for next year”.

Michigan won’t even be thinking about OSU. They won’t play them for 5 weeks

I took a look at the schedule of the teams that could potentially contend for a title. I know thats rich coming from an IU fan but it is what it is Penn State Indiana Oregon USC Michigan Ohio State AT Washington AT Michigan AT USC AT Penn State AT Oregon AT USC AT Michigan AT Washington AT OSU AT Indiana AT Ohio State AT Indiana Home USC Home Ohio State AT Illinois Home Oregon Home Oklahoma AT Texas Home USC Home Michigan Home OSU Home Iowa AT Iowa Home Washington Home Indiana Home Michigan Home Illinois * Non Con Not Scheduled Looks to me like Penn State has the easiest path to the CFP and the Big Ten Championship game. They literally have the same difficult games as us, without OSU coming to town. Oregon has 3 really tough road games. Losing 2 would make them eligible for the CFP but no Big Ten Championship likely USC and Michigan both have 5 seemingly tough games. With 2 on the road. Michigan has one thats in the non conference which could affect CFP. OSU is in a tough spot. They have to go to Texas, then have 5 tricky Conference games afterwards. They can't go 50/50 and 4 of their 6 games are on the road. And saving the best for last, but literally and figuratively your INDIANA HOOSIERS play USC and OSU at Home. Should be favored and I really dont think USC is gonna be all that good but they do have the pieces to be good. Then IU has to go to Michigan and Washington. Washington I don't think is gonna be that great. And cig knows how to take the team out West. Michigan is the big wildcard. New Coach, but lets not forget he was forced out at this last school because they knew going 8-4 wasn't going to be good enough in the new world of college football. I didn't include Washington or Illinois on this list just because they are on so many of these schedules. View them more as a team good enough to play spoiler. Overall like our chances to get back to the Big Ten Championship. Who we would play will depend on if OSU can run a gauntlet after their cakewalk this year. Or if Michigan or Penn State can gel like a Cignetti team.
