  1. I agree. We have enough data on Ramsey. He's very, very limited.
  2. Hello, stalker. Nice to see you again. Look, either your eyes work or they don't. Either you're objective or you're not. The two couldn't be more different. You can either see and acknowledge that or you can't. Based solely on what you saw from a junior and a true freshman, are you really saying they're the same player or just antagonizing for the hell of it? You and I both know the answer. See you next season, I'm sure.
  3. I absolutely believe this will happen. My statement was indeed intended as "right now."
  4. How in the world can you make a reasonable argument against what Penix can or can't be at this point? He threw 34 passes, completing 21 of them with a TD and no INT's with an arm obviously strong enough to play at the D1 level. How is it reasonably possible to make a comment such as "he couldn't do worse than Penix?" Based on what??? \Lindauer looks like a very good QB for Wabash right now. He's just not that accurate and throws the ball up for grabs way too frequently.
  5. Exactly. A coach's grade on Smith will be higher than a fan's grade.
  6. Guy averaged 4 points a game at St. Mary's. If he's not shooting, he's just a tall body. But Hanner Perea could never shoot like he can.
  7. Saw the same thing. The Big Ten is going to be absolutely brutal this year.
  8. Archie's offense is bad right now. There's just no purpose to it. It's sometimes hard for me to figure out where he wants shots to come from and I have no idea how you can't find a significant role for a player like Smith but you can watch Devonta Green turn it over game after game while he shoots 35% from the floor. Our freshmen had a combined 29/11/6 with just 3 turnovers and 6-6 from the FT line in a total of 63 minutes. That's a good night. Thought Durham was solid as well.
  9. Would completely depend on pain and swelling.
  10. I heard bone on bone contact. Bruised shin. Hurts like hell for a minute, then just stiff and sore until it heals.
  11. Did you see the play I'm referring to? Not comparable at all. Green's play was completely selfish. It was not a take. He dribbled into traffic, had chances to throw it out and didn't; and ultimately turned it over without really getting a look at the rim except to throw it in the general direction. Not the same thing. At all.
  12. Phinisee will make plenty of special plays; and he's already made some (dump pass to Smith for the dunk, for example). He's clearly playing a very conservative style now; but he's got plenty of special. Kid has a 2:1 A/TO ratio, which is better than we've had at that position in a while. For the record, Green's ratio is 1.1: 1 for his career. Phinisee shooting 47% from the floor. Green 35%. (39% for his career) And Green is 1-12 from three point land this season..Phinisee 5-15. I'm really looking for a high ceiling in Green; but I just don't see it. 2 years and another 1/4th of a season in, Green is selfish, out of control, and very, very dumb sometimes (see the play yesterday when he made a great defensive play for a steal, and it looked like he thought "okay, I got it, now I get to shoot it," taking it to 3 players and turning it right back over. I promise not one person here was surprised.).
  13. You have no info, so you speculate that we could be without him for a while. Why? Yes. Exactly. A blank obvious post with no substance. So why did you post it?
  14. He's not Eric Gordon. Completely different player. Here's my answer to your question. He took the shot that won the game for us and got many plays going toward the rim. (You said he doesn't have a killer instinct. That play by itself should alleviate that comment) He played solid defense all day on one of their best scorers. He played 36 minutes, scored 20 points on 13 shots, grabbed 5 rebounds, made all of his FT's had a couple of steals and was clearly the go to at the end with our best senior out. Yet you said he's under-utilized...somehow cursed by The General. Why were you expecting Eric Gordon? Did you not see Langford play in high school? Completely different player. Gordon was more of a volume 3 point shooter than Romeo is and physically stronger and stockier. Langford so far is also a far better rebounder. Gordon also had to be the leading scorer on that IU team. Langford doesn't on this one; but he is still averaging 18. Gordon averaged 21. Langford has played 34 minutes+ in each of the last 5 games and been over 20 points 3 times in those games. He had (as the whole team did) a bad night against Duke. I get it. But if you don't see a killer instinct, especially after yesterday; like I said, you don't see what I see.
  15. I want to know how you can make this comment without any information.
  16. Green may be the most frustrating player I can remember at Indiana. Great defensive play followed by a "well, I got the ball so Ima shoot it" play that had no chance. Just gave it back to them. Another bad pass here and there, accompanied by a nice "and 1" jumper....and a missed FT. The guy either hasn't learned much or hasn't been taught how to play. He still seems to rely completely on his athletic ability....and it's maddening. Moore's no good, fellas. He's also very weak.
  17. I LOVE that they're there. I especially love that Romeo is there. It's been WAY too long since we got most of Indiana's top kids
  18. I thought the black looked awful, but I think all black jerseys look awful except the Raiders.
  19. I found out a long time ago that simply because a guy covers IU does not make him an expert on IU or sports or recruiting. God rest his soul, but it started with Ed Magoni and hasn't gotten a hell of a lot better. Dale Davis' kid is going to be a good get. Was always going to be a good get.
  20. Agree with this. What I laugh about is getting crapped on for years for saying we needed to recruit from the inside out. NOI! Some said. It doesn't matter where kids are from. Yeah....if you get the right kids; it kinda' does matter. Especially if you can accentuate by going outside the state and get the BEST fits you can find instead of the Stanford Robinson's of the world. A great get for Indiana. He and Franklin battle tonight!
  21. You answered your own question. That's our warmup font. Not our jersey font. Been that way for 45 years. I would also like to see it...I think. Maybe. But the answer to the question is "tradition."
  22. Tradition. That's the answer. I know other blue bloods have made changes; but did anyone think Duke looked good in black? Script "Indiana" might look good, but we've used basically the same font since 1974.
