He hasn't done anything wrong. I was mainly joking. I'd love Drew. There have been conflicting reports in the media (I know, I know). Some say he'd be heavily interested, others say he wouldn't even talk to us. If the boosters are running the show, I think it's a long shot and that's part of the problem at IU right now.

It's mainly the fact that he's a sleezebag, looks like a used car salesman, and allowed (and kept on staff) an assistant who threatened to deport a recruit. Other than that - bring him on. Dude can coach. Not sure Dolson can go from a clean-cut guy like Brad Stevens to Scott Drew.

Go get Beilein, build a nice foundation of winning over the next 3-4 years, Brad will get fired eventually, come crawling to IU - we tell him to shove it no massholes allowed and hire whatever IU guy Beilein puts on the bench with him.

People have deluded themselves into believing that if an IU guy just came home they'd all of a sudden be good at coaching. Get an IU guy on the bench, fine. But the head job? That needs to be earned.

Ainge giving Brad another raise during a lackluster season when both of them are hearing calls for their heads is something I can't believe. My guess is they don't have to actually legally report raises so we'll probably never know.

I agree and that's why I'm skeptical that he was actually given a raise. Ainge just gave him one and an extension last year. This year, they aren't performing, fans are pissed at both Brad and Ainge and he responds with another raise to keep him? Ainge just handcuffed the rest of his exec career to Brad. He's all in on Brad (if the raise actually happened). Could you imagine if Dolson gave Archie a raise this past Monday instead of letting him go?

bc he'll just take it to Boston and they'll beat it. Woj and the national guys are right about one thing, we can't compete with NBA money. If coming home, being at IU, being a freaking king wasn't enough in addition to a fat pay raise, what more can we offer that Boston can't match? I agree. His employer gave him a raise (allegedly) and he took it. Every single person on here would do the same - don't @ me. Stop assuming this was his plan all along. You don't know. You're just angry right now.

I love how we're all just assuming the raise is legit. The same people most of you are bashing are choosing to willingly believe their information again. We have NO idea what happened. Time to just move on. It sucks, I know but I'm at the very least happy we have an AD with some ******* balls. He tried. I trust him to get us the next best available.

We have no idea. Sounds like he told Danny Ainge the size of the offer and seriously considered it. Not his fault if Danny offered him a raise to stay. Who in their right mind would say no to a $2.5M raise?
