  4. doubtful that it could be much worse. Sent from my mobile device via Tapatalk 3.2.1.
  5. KSU has out-rebounded the Hoosiers 16-13, too... including TEN offensive rebounds...
  6. Awesome defense.   </sarcasm>   Kennesaw State is closing the lead...
  7.   Old Friend also talked about Knight doing his "homework" on the kids that he was recruiting... and he included supporting information about players who were recruited when he went hands off to go fishing and left the "homework" to his assistants.   Regardless of where Knight, Crean, Calipari or Coach K is/was recruiting, it is incumbent upon them to do the work - check the background, the grades, the possible issues running afoul of the law, etc. Clearly, either Crean has been extremely lax in that regard, or he just doesn't care about (some of) it.
  8.   Neither are the Yogi Ferrells, the JBJs, or the Troy Williams. In fact, they got pasted by a Duke team several weeks ago...
  9.   In a word: no.   One win does not a season make. One win does nothing to offset the long list of Crean's shortcomings as a coach. One win does noting to offset the long list of off court issues with alcohol and drugs.   One win does nothing. Period. Should Crean somehow be able to get this team on a sustained run, then we can talk. Until then, the Crean Crean Express is still running full steam ahead.
  10. I edited out the bulk of the post for no reason other than for the sake of brevity. I agree 100% with this post. I wish I could "like" it about a thousand times.
  11. Interesting side note. I sent an email to Fred Glass back on 12/03/15 about the state of IU basketball and CTC's many faux pas. I got a response just now (over 2 weeks later):
  12.   There you go again... trying to use logic and common sense in a situation that you clearly have no clue about... :scratchhead:
  13.   I totally agree. Of course those who use the phrase "got creaned" get reamed, but it's exactly what happens. Crean has some sort of manic phobia of an open scholarship - and seems equally adverse to giving it to a walk-on for a year so that it does not go unused. The result of this is that he chronically oversigns players - some marginal at best. Of course I mean no disrespect to MSB (Priller), but I see Crean as a never satisfied with the current team. Of course he needs to be concerned about keeping the cupboard stocked for subsequent years after dealing with graduations, transfers, jumps to the NBA,etc...but it's almost like he's hoarding players. Some of those players don't (and maybe won't ever) measure up... so he forces them into situations where these marginal players leave of their own volition (more or less).   Why not just recruit your team and upgrade it year by year as opportunities present themselves? But you recruited these guys, make the best of the situation of your own making.
  14.   Those 3 wins were hardly a gauge of anything except Crean's ability to schedule cupcakes. If THAT's the curve that we are grading CTC on, we might as well pack in it right now.
  15.   There's room for both. You get 140 characters. :D
  16.   Funny that, though you were being totally facetious and sarcastic, when you put it like that, it makes total sense. :scratchhead:
  17.   They upset me pretty badly in Maui. Does that count?   Back on topic, I am sure there will be one or two... but there will also be gut-wrenching losses to lower ranked/regarded teams.
  18.   If Crean can squander his chance with Cody and Vic (and the rest of that team), there's no way Bryant was going to change the ending of this season. Crean's hallmarks include teams that chronically underachieve.
  19. The hits just keep coming: @CgoffCJ Crean sticking up for Bryant. "Easy to look at the stat sheet and say he had an off night, but I have a different view," Crean said. #iubb
  20.   OR... CTC's crafted an excuse to be openly discussed in that other thread (you all know which one)...
  21.   Almost on cue:   Chris Goff (@CgoffJG) 12/9/15, 7:31 PM Crean: "The bottom line is we had to make a lot of adjustments. We had a lot of great personal numbers. Rob got 13 deflections." #iubb
  22.   IMO, 17 turnovers is WAY too many against a cupcake like IPFW. Hope we got a lot of "deflections". (I'm still not convinced that's a real thing.)
  23.   As long as Yogi gets his, what else matters? :P
  24.   Maybe a Mastadon player bumped into Crean and failed to apologize.
  25.   If something like this were to happen, it certainly will speed up the exit process. With all of the crap that's occurred over the past several years (under the watchful eye of both Kelvin Sampson and Tom Crean), I would imagine that the leash on that stuff is pretty short. Of course, I've been wrong before. :scratchhead:
