I almost picked them as an upset because UNCW is pumped up and Duke is not good at first rounds but I couldn't justify the progression of my bracket afterwards without them. They just need to survive this game then they'll be better I hope.

And definitely do take longer to get basic stuff done, but I'll discount my hours back to how long it would have taken instead of how long it did. Post-recession billing is still more art than science a lot of the time because clients have unrealistic expectations of how long some things take. I think they're way way behind. Like a year or two. Cool, that was going to be my first guess. I didn't see the play-in games on their replay site, only a two minute highlight for Vandy, but hopefully that's just because they're play-ins.

Anyone know if there is a way to replay missed games? Surely there is something. Maybe on Btn2go. I have no DVR and in their efforts against me the committee schedule the game while I have to be at work engaged with experts so... I hate my life.

I agree with the sentiment saying I expected an elite right before the bracket but probably a sweet sixteen now if we play UNC close. I do disagree with everyone saying they want Kentucky to win their first game. I don't. If every game in our region was an upset except ours in the first round I would be thrilled. It's do-or-die time friends. I don't give a fuck who we beat before we hang our banner. I don't care if our road to the final four is Chatty, Stony, FGCU, and Weber. I don't care if it's Austin Pee in the championship game. None of that is as important to me as number 6.

I have trouble figuring out anyone but Wisconsin who can keep us from the Final Four if we made the Elite Eight. Once you beat UNC who beats you but MSU? Not Xavier or WVU. I also have trouble maintaining my expectations because of it. Except for losing to Chatty this draw is a whole series of "well, no one could beat them" teams. Like the ideal draw to avoid a hot seat almost regardless of performance.

So are they. Well, only a little bit but only because I haven't met a single person out here, much less an OSU fan, who watches college basketball instead of just watching their team and their conference tournament. I'm not confident they have watched VCU play.

All we can offer so far is the fix is in progress. It's super inconvenient for us too and during our highest traffic month so no one is happy about it.

I mean we can try and justify the results by making excuses for the committee but the answer is very simple. They pulled up the RPI rankings, shrugged, said "this is probably right" and plugged them in before getting ready to watch the two hour selection show. This year shows the least input from the committee that I can recall and destroys the "we use things other than RPI" narrative.

Ok cool, now explain why the other Big Ten teams were underseeded and why teams like Cal were better seeded. Why is MSU a 2 seed? Why is Oregon State the same seed as Iowa? I watch a ton of Pac-12 basketball and can assure you they aren't better than the Big Ten in a relative sense.
