  1. The sun'll come out... Today. Or tomorrow. Or sometime. There'll be... Sun.
  2. Sweet. Am I the bear? Does politics mean all politician names? Because I only used him because my AP app had just hit me with news about him. It can be interchanged with literally anyone from mark kruzan to Woodrow Wilson.
  3. Write letters, make phone calls, stop donating (with an explanation), contact the trustees, get involved in any way you can. Not going has two problems, first, it affects the kids playing more than anyone else. And more importantly, those tickets are going to be sold to someone. The waiting list is long, tons of kids still buy their season tickets (and just get more of them). You aren't denying them any money, you're just hoping they realize that you not being there means that you don't like the coach. You're hoping that the kids on the court realize it isn't their fault. You're telling future recruits (class of 2017+) that we may strand them out there if we don't think the coach is doing well enough.    Like I said, it's like not voting. Ted Cruz doesn't care that you don't show up to the polls, someone else is going to. And he isn't going to start pandering to a group that doesn't show up because where's the motivation? Why should Fred Glass assume that fans will just stream back when he hires Hoiberg?
  4. Not going to the games to send a message is like when people say they don't vote to send a message.
  5. He has NBA connections too. Dakich may have played MJ, but BM played with MJ, Larry Bird, Charles Barkley, and Patrick Ewing.
  6. I remember the reports that Jim Harbaugh was staying with my beloved Niners too.
  7. I hate the Kentucky argument. They went to the NIT after an Elite Eight, 2 FFs, and a championship. And the following season were runner-ups. They aren't comparable down seasons.   I dont' believe for a second that Yogi and Troy would follow Crean. Especially Troy. What would they have to gain? Yogi needs a ton of exposure to make it to the NBA. Troy wants to go sooner than later.
  8. I don't think that's right though.  Syracuse currently has 13 players on scholarship. They have an incoming class of 4 (would be 5 with Bryant) and 3 graduating seniors. So, they already had to cut 1 player to fit and would have to cut 2 for Bryant. Except if they have to get down to 11 then they have to lose a total of 4.
  9. http://ottosgrove.com/ncaa-penalties-effectively-end-pursuit-of-thomas-bryant/ The word from the 'cuse board is it's over.
  10. Someone tell him senior year of high school is stupid anyway, he might as well just come play next year.
  11. Wow. That schedule is going to be ranked as one of the top 5 hardest in the Big Ten again isn't it?
  12. As a big fan of Harbaugh, I'd consider it an honor if he wore my blood. Is that creepy?
  13. Any chance of him secretly wearing Hanner's jersey and playing for us next year anyway?
  14. Article about and interview with TB   http://www.coxhub.com/articles/thomas-bryant-tries-to-learn-from-kevin-garnett-tim-duncan
  15. I never paid enough attention to the D-leagues to realize they had such baller names! The Mad Ants v. Red Claws? Sounds like a SciFi original movie that would be amazing.
  16. I actually thought the rule change was a couple years before. I meant more it's a good comparison for their final year's being very similar and Tevin is currently projected into the same spot where Thompson was taken.
  17. Guys guys... Maybe Alford meant Thon. Thon hasn't visited us.
  18. Thompson and Tevin is actually a good comparison, I'll give you more than everyone else here on that because you're right. Thompson could have gone the year before and probably would have been drafted in a similar place. But then of course, Thompson went and only had a 3 year career in the NFL after having a much better overall college career than Tevin. Maybe Tevin looks at that and wants more and thinks he should leave earlier to get it.
  19. From ESPN insider article on Hoophall Classic (article by Jeff Borzello, dated Jan 19th):   Which side will win out for Thomas Bryant?    The five-star big man (No. 16) has Syracuse, Indiana, Kentucky and Missouri on his list, but his mother has openly pushed for the Orange as Bryant's future destination.    When asked by ESPN.com about that over the weekend, Bryant was succinct: "That's her opinion."    The other schools involved for Bryant aren't backing off in the slightest, and Kansas has even made overtures to try to get back in the mix.    "I'm not set on one school," he said. "I'm taking all the options I have and if one seems better than Syracuse, I'll go to that school. If Syracuse seems better than the other ones, then I'll go to Syracuse. I gotta look for the best program that fits me."    Bryant wants to set an official visit to Kentucky for the coming weeks.     http://insider.espn.go.com/blog/ncbrecruiting/on-the-trail/post?id=12732&refresh=true
  20. This is just like when Announcers give you "facts" about games or rivalries. "You know, the Hoosiers have never lost to Purdue in the month of January when Tom Crean wears a blue tie and they make 12 or more threes"
  21. No change in the last few days. Personally, I'd say they aren't looking too awesome. It's pretty much a 3 horse race, IU, UK, and SU. He has taken 3 or 4 unofficial visits to UK and is taking his official there still. SU still thinks if Cal doesn't have room then he's been theirs all along. We could really use some good news about his standing with Indiana relative to the others. I don't know how we're going to beat out UK if he really wants to go there unless Cal simply doesn't have the room. He'll decide in March, though hasn't said when in March. That means that A. We may know about Thon by then and B. We won't know about how many spots Cal will have by then. An interesting combo. Syracuse fans think that's good news for them because it means he isn't serious about UK.
  22. Duke is definitely the enemy in the wings on Thon.
  23. Dumb play this late. Barring total collapse in the final games, CTC has already secured his job this season. You can't use that move when we're tied for number 1 in the Big Ten.
  24. It's almost exactly what KenPom predicted.
  25. This "Trey Lyles" fellow is playing well. Did we try and recruit him?
